Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 3/2

The Specimen Lake at Town Parks Fishery provided excellent sport from most of the deeper water pegs.

Cornwall rod Vincent Plume fished peg 14 during his first visit to the Fishery. Despite atrocious weather conditions Plume persevered, refreshing and moving baits near any movement in the water. His efforts paid off when he hooked into, and landed a beautiful Ghost Carp of 21lbs 4oz beating his previous best by some 10lbs! The fish fell to a spicy squid boilie.

Cornwall rod Vincent Plume enjoyed his first visit to Town Parks Fishery banking this fine personal best Ghost Carp. The fish tipped the scales at 21lbs 4oz and fell to a spicy squid boilie.

Regular Mark Warren fished artificial sweetcorn close to the tree on peg 1 and banked two Carp, a nice Leather of 17lbs 2oz and a Common of 14lbs.

Town Parks Fishery regular Mark Warren continued his good run of fish banking two Carp from peg 1. The fish fell to doubled up artificial sweecorn offered near the Willow.

After a 7 month layoff, Paignton rod Bob Ineson returned to fishing and followed Warren into peg 1 and he also banked two Carp, the best 17lbs 0oz, which fell to the same tactic! The first fish was in the net within 20 minutes of casting out!

Returning to fishing after a 7 Month layoff Bob Ineson showed he still knows how to do it banking two Carp from peg 1, the first within 20 minutes! Both fish were around the 16lbs mark and fell to artificial corn offered mid water.

Peg 2 saw Day angler John Webster fish small white wafters mid water. Webster banked two Carp during the afternoon, both fish in fine condition and around the 17lbs mark.

John Hannaford fished overnight from peg 10 placing small white pop ups mid water.
Hannaford banked two Carp to 15lbs 1oz and lost another two fish at the net!

On the top Match Lake fishing proved a little more difficult due to the inclement weather conditions, although Carp did make an appearance from deeper water pegs. Silvers also showed sporadically and a couple of very nice Crucians were reported from peg 1 falling to maggot.
