Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 29/12

Once again the weather kept all but the hardiest anglers in front of the telly!

With all the recent rain fall the flow through the Lakes at Town Parks Fishery has increased giving the water chance to refresh itself and clear out much of the silty deposits from the Summer! The anglers who braved the conditions had good sport with some fine fish coming to the net!

On the top Match Lake local rod Colin Parnell enjoyed one of the better days fishing from peg 10. After trying various baits Parnell decided to fish a strawberry boilie towards the main island. Within minutes Parnell was celebrating after the bait was seized by a fine Common Carp of 8lbs 8oz which was his first Winter carp!!! 

Town Parks Fishery regular Colin Parnell was overjoyed when he connected with this fine Common Carp from peg 10 on the Match Lake. The fish was Parnell’s first Winter Carp!

Continuing his day Parnell switched to his margin pole and banked a medium bag of Roach and Rudd!

Town Parks Fishery regular Fred Rowe fished from peg 1 and placed his bait in the margin reeds. Rowe netted 4 Carp to 11lbs 5oz which all took a fancy to his Crab Pellet bait!

Silvers are still showing in numbers from most pegs with anglers reporting 20lbs plus bags!

On the Specimen Lake Carp remained on the feed despite the conditions.

Numerous Carp in the 10lbs to 16lbs range came to the net taking various baits but predominately Coconut based boilies!

Wolverhampton rod Mike Symonds chose peg 12 for a day session whilst down in the area on holiday. Fishing luncheon meat tight in the margin Symonds was soon into the action.
After an extended battle a fine Common of 21lbs 3oz was on the bank.

Local rod Vince Thorne fished from peg 7 placing his bait close to the waterfall. Thorne’s Coconut boilie was not there for long when a lovely condition Leather Carp of 15lbs 3oz took his bait!

Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 22/12

Very unsettled weather kept the fish on the feed Town Parks Fishery at this week.The anglers who braved the conditions had some great sport.

Over the weekend around two dozen large Carp came to net on the Specimen Lake!

Once again Conor Nettleton enjoyed frantic sport during a couple of day sessions fishing in atrocious weather conditions. Fishing from peg 14 Nettleton had 17 runs and banked 7 fish!
Cell boilies proved very effective with some beautiful fish hitting the bank. A fine fully scaled Ghost Carp of 23lbs 0oz was the pick of the crop followed by several fish in the high teens and low twentys!

Local rod Conor Nettleton fished from peg 14 at Town Parks Fishery and was rewarded with seven fish including this beautiful Common Carp of 22lbs 8oz!

Town Parks Fishery regular Conor Nettleton had some frantic sport from peg 14 banking 7 fish including this fine fully scaled Ghost Carp of 23lbs 0oz. The fish fell to a Cell boilie offered tight in the margins.

 Jake Goodland banked two good Carp from peg 15. Goodlands fish fell to pop ups offered mid water.

Joe Garrett chose peg 5 and banked three good Carp to 19lbs 1oz during very inclement weather! Once again pop ups did the trick! Plenty of mid to high teen fish came to the bank, too many to list individually!

The bream also continued to provide great sport with match anglers hitting the fish around the main island. Bags to 50lbs were reported with the fish still showing a liking for dead red maggot!

On the upper Match Lake sport was also good with both Carp and Silvers showing in numbers.

Anglers reported medium bags of Carp which fell to pellet and corn offered in the margins.
Silvers were in deeper water but still taking maggot and castor.

The onsite shop is open every day over the and New Year holidays with supplies of fresh and frozen baits!

Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 15/12

With warm weather settled in, the fish continued to feed at Town Parks Fishery this week.
Once again anglers targeting the Bream on the Specimen Lake enjoyed frantic sport with some excellent bags reported.

Brendon Ions chose peg 2 for a day session fishing a small feeder and maggot on the hook towards the main island. Ions hit fish straight away and, although they went off the feed at times, took fish throughout the day!  Weighing up at the end of the session Ions was amazed to find he had netted 49 fish for 65lbs – lovely fishing! Ions explained that he had come second in his section at another lake the previous week with two fish for 600grms – He said there can’t be many waters providing the sport he enjoyed at Town Parks!

Rod Metcalfe and Steve Wright also targeted the Bream with great success taking bags between 25lbs and 50lbs on each visit! Metcalfe also had an unexpected catch whilst pole fishing for Roach when a large Carp of 15lbs 2oz seized the maggot bait! It took Metcalfe 25 minutes to net the fish – quite remarkable as he was fishing a size 4 elastic, 2lbs hooklink and a size 18 hook!!!

Plymouth fireman Steve Wright fished for Bream from peg 2 at Town Parks Fishery and took this fine bag. Wright was one of several anglers taking bags up to 65lbs!!! 

Hopefully the Bream will continue to feed providing excellent sport for anglers over Christmas!

Carp also fed with anglers reporting fish moving in most pegs.

Conor Nettleton had a great session from peg 3 taking 4 fish including a fine Mirror of 24lbs 8oz which fell to pink pop ups! Nettleton had banked the same fish recently a couple of pounds lighter so the fish has been feeding up well ready for the Winter.

Town Parks Fishery regular Conor Nettleton fished from peg 3 and banked the same fish he caught a few weeks ago. The fine condition Mirror tipped the scales at 24lbs 8oz a couple of pounds heavier than last time. The fish fell to a Cell boilie.

Several Carp in the 15 to 20lbs range hit the net including a lovely condition Common taken form peg 1 by Gordon Batt.

Gordon Batt fished peg 1 at Town Parks Fishery and banked this beautifully coloured Common Carp.

The Fishery is open every day over the Christmas and New Year period with supplies of fresh maggot, castor and worm as well as frozen and tinned baits available.

Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 8/12

The fish went back on the feed at Town Parks Fishery as the temperatures rose again.

On the Specimen Lake sport was good with plenty of fish coming to the net.

Local rod Joe Garrett fished from peg 2 casting towards the central bar. A single Cell boilie proved effective as Garrett netted three good Carp with the best a fine condition Common of 22lbs 1oz!

Sean Collings chose peg 5 for a day session and took a beautiful Autumn colour Common Carp of 20lbs dead. The fish took the bait just as the light dropped.

Town Parks Fishery regular Sean Collings fished Cell boilies from peg 5 on the Specimen Lake and was rewarded with this superb condition Common Carp which tipped the scales at 20lbs 0oz.


Mark Hill also had a good session banking two Carp after a recent lean spell. Both the fish were high teens and took a cell boilie with a banoffee pop up.

Town Parks regular Trevor Trebell fished from peg 13 and also netted two decent Commons in the mid teens.

Plenty of Carp in the 12lbs to 16lbs range were reported from various pegs both deep and shallow water!

Bream have continued to provide great sport with bags of 40 to 50lbs common. Anglers fishing around the island have seemed to fare better fishing dead maggot on a short hooklink from a small feeder!

Steve Wright, Phil Edwards and Rod Metcalfe had several sessions throughout the week with the bream feeding well they also took a few specimen size Roach which also came on the feed. Edwards took a nice Bream of 5lbs 10oz to top off his session!

Local rod Phill Edwards fished for Bream from peg 3 at Town Parks Fishery and took some fine fish including this one of 5lbs 10oz. The fish fell to maggot offered on a size 14 hook cast mid water.

On the top Match Lake, sport also improved with anglers connecting with Carp which were happy to feed.

Exmouth rod John Whitear fish from peg 2 with fake banoffee corn and a small bag of pellets. Whitear had great sport taking 7 Carp to 12lbs!

Lee Hunt fished towards the island in front of peg 18 and banked 8 Carp. Placing his bait close to the overhanging branches Hunt used a small yellow pellet to take the initial fish then changed to normal coarse pellet which the fish took freely!!


With the settled weather set to continue the fish should stay on the feed providing good sport for anglers for the foreseeable future!

Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 1/12

A quieter week on the Lakes at Town Parks Fishery saw anglers having to use all their skills to get the fish on the feed. The Carp were sporadically feeding with only a few fish reported.

The Match Lake saw half a dozen anglers reporting Carp taken from the margins mainly on maggot or meat! Some good sized Roach were also reported with fish to the 2lbs mark freely taking maggot once they got on the feed.

The Specimen Lake had fish moving around most of the week although they refused to take the many varieties of baits provided by anglers!!

The match fishermen who chose to fish the lake for Bream and Silvers faired much better.

Once again Rod Metcalf lead the field taking up to 50lbs of Bream in a single session.
Double red maggot proved most effective. The bites were very light with fish being hooked if the hook was pulled home the minute the tip moved!!

Other anglers that had heard of Metcalf’s exploits also tried their hand with great success – some reporting bags of 50lbs using the same tactics!


Once again Christmas is upon us and the onsite shop has stocked up with gifts for devoted anglers from tackle to clothing and fishing vouchers.

Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 24/11

Much colder weather reduced the catch rate at Town Parks Fishery although fish did still come to the net.

Town Parks regular Conor Nettleton did particularly well fishing form peg 10 on the Specimen Lake. Nettleton fish a double Cell boilie rig close to the island and banked 7 Carp during his 36hr session! All the fish were high teens or above with the best tipping the scales at 23lbs 10oz!

This superb Mirror Carp of 23lbs 10oz fell to Conor Nettleton who fished peg 10 at Town Parks Fishery. The fish fell to a double 15mm Cell boilie rig fished towards the main island!

Nick Solomon returned to peg 14 and banked a twenty plus fish for the second week running! Solomon fished a Korda “Goo” covered boilie towards the central bar and saw his bait seized by a fine condition Mirror Carp of 22lbs 3oz!

Town Parks Fishery regular Nick Solomon followed on from last weeks success by banking another 20lbs plus Carp!  This fish fell to Korda Goo covered boilie fished towards the central bar!

The Catfish have been a little absent lately but some have been spotted moving around the lake.

Once again Rod Metcalf targeted Bream but this time from peg 10. The fish were as responsive as last week with plenty of fish in the 2lbs 8oz range coming to the net. Around 40lbs of fish ended up in the keepnet!

On the top Match Lake, Carp were still feeding sporadically with some anglers bagging up whilst others left empty handed!


Silvers have gone deeper in the water but are still feeding on maggot and castor. Bream continued to plague anglers in some pegs with some fish taking baits intended for Carp and Silvers on the drop!

Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 17/11

Once again the Specimen Lake at Town Parks Fishery produced great sport, with anglers enjoyed the action from most pegs.

Local rod Paul Knapman fished with coarse angling newcomer Mark Yardley from pegs 7 and 8. Knapman fished a Cell boilie towards the central bar and was rewarded with a fine Common Carp of 22lbs 12oz. Shortly afterwards Yardleys alarms screamed off and, after an extended battle a good Common of 16lbs 11oz was on the bank.

Once again a Cell boilie did the trick!

Paignton rod Andy Handshaw chose peg 2 and banked two Carp within two hours as the sun rose. Handshaws fish of 19lbs 2oz and 16lbs 8oz both fell to a strawberry boilie offered near the main island.

Gordon Batt visited peg 1 and took a good high teens Linear Carp, a nice condition Common around the same size and a fine Tench of 7lbs 8oz! All Batts fish fell to fruit flavoured boilies.

Torquay rod Gordon Batt fished from peg 1 at Town Parks Fishery and netted this fine Tench which fell to a fruity boilie.

This fine condition Mirror Carp was one of several fish banked from peg 1 at Town Parks Fishery by Torquay rod Gordon Batt. The fish fell to a fruity boilie offered near the main island.

Town Parks regular Nick Solomon fished from 10 and netted three Carp to 17lbs!

 The top Match Lake was still a little sporadic with some anglers taking good bags whilst other banked nothing! Dead maggot offered in the margins during the afternoons proved to be the best tactic although fish did take various baits during the day.


Some good Bream are still feeding just off the main island taking maggot or meat.

Town Parks Fishing Catch Report w/e 10/11

Despite changeable weather conditions the fish continued to feed at Town Parks Fishery this week.The Specimen Lake saw fish coming to the bank for both big fish and coarse anglers alike.

Rod Metcalf decided to fish for Bream from peg 2 on one of the calmer days. Fishing his feeder just off the main island and a couple of maggot on the hook Metcalf netted over 60lbs of decent sized fish.

Town Parks Fishery regular Rod Metcalf had a hectic session form peg 2 on the Specimen Lake banking over 60lbs of good sized Bream. The fish fell to double maggot offered towards the main island.

Meanwhile on peg 14 Town Parks newcomer Dan Court fished some homemade boilies around the central bar area. Court was overjoyed as he banked his sixth fish of the session a fine Common of 20lbs dead!!

Local rod Nick Solomon fished a quick overnight session from 6 and netted a fine Common of 22lbs 7oz! The fish fell to a Cell boilie offered close to the island in front of the swim.

Plymouth rod Rich Jenkins fished C C Moore boilies close to the waterfall adjacent to peg 7 and was rewarded with two high teen Mirrors.

Catfish were a little hesitant to feed despite the water temperature remaining around the 15 degree mark!!

The top Match Lake fished a little harder than of late with anglers having to use their watercraft to find the fish. That said, some nice sized Carp were taken, mainly from the margins falling to pellet or maggot.

Silvers fed sporadically with small to medium bags reported from most pegs.

The onsite shop is open as normal throughout the Winter Months with stocks of fresh and frozen bait always available.


With Christmas approaching the shop holds a good stock of gifts for all kinds of angler including Fishing Vouchers which are also available by post.

Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 3/11

Excellent catches were reported form the Specimen Lake at Town Parks Fishery this week.
Although the water temperature is still up at 15.5 degrees the deeper water pegs produced most of the sport with some fine fish coming to the bank.

Newton Abbot rod Matt Feakes visited peg 12 and had fish on the bank almost immediately!
Within 5 minutes of casting out his first rod, Feakes had a good Common on the bank. The fish, in excellent condition, hit the scales at 23lbs 8oz! Feakes went on to bank five more fish in the high teens and twenty’s! All the fish took an apple flavoured boilie offered in the margins.

Town Parks Fishery regular Matt Feakes chose peg 12 and was into the action within 5 minutes of casting out! Feakes banked this superb Common of 23lbs 8oz which seized his apple flavoured boilie.

Meanwhile fishing partner Gordon Batt fished from peg 11 and banked two high teen Carp which fell to apple flavoured boilies!.

A group of pupils from various Devon schools attended a morning of fishing and tuition. Fishing maggot mid water, all the students banked fish with one losing a large Carp during an extended battle!
Students from various Torbay schools enjoyed a tutored session at Town Parks Fishery when all the participants banked silvers and Perch! 

Local rod Luke Neighbour had a good session from peg 14 banking his personal best Common which seized his luncheon meat bait. The fish tipped the scales at 23 lbs 0oz!
On the next peg dad Jamie also banked a personal best Catfish of 23lbs 8oz which fell to a double halibut pellet!! The pair also netted a couple of decent Tench to 6lbs 2oz!

Torquay rod Luke Neighbour fished from peg 14 at Town Parks Fishery, and banked his personal best Common Carp of 23lbs 0oz. The fish fell to luncheon meat offered mid water to the central bar.

Fishing his first session at Town Parks Joe Garrett had great sport banking 4 Carp to 19lbs 6oz all falling to Krill boilies.

Town Parks Fishery newcomer Joe Garrett had a great session from peg 3 banking four Carp including this 19lbs 6oz Common!

Town Parks regular, and Plymouth fireman, Steve Wright fished from peg 2 and netted a good Catfish of 20lbs 3oz! Wright topped that off with a couple of good doubles including a beautiful fully scaled carp!

The upper Match Lake also saw anglers enjoying good sport.

Bream have been showing in numbers with fish to 6lbs 8oz reported. Carp continue to feed in the unusually warm conditions taking pellet and luncheon meat offered in the margins.

Silvers are still taking maggot and castor offered at various depths!

Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 27/10

The Specimen Lake at Town Parks Fishery continued to produce great sport for hardy anglers braving the changeable weather conditions.

Jim McCourt float fished worm form peg 14 aiming for the odd Catfish.
As McCourt started to pack up his reel screamed off and after an extended battle a fine Cat of 25lbs 1oz was on the bank!

David Bastian travelled up from the Lizard in Cornwall for his first trip to the Parks. Targeting the Catfish, as he had never caught one, Bastian was not disappointed after banking three good doubles on Halibut pellet. Best fish of the session a good 26lbs 1oz!

Once again Conor Nettleton had a great session netting 5 Carp to 19lbs 2oz all falling to Cell.

Local junior James Tippler fished another day session and chose peg 9. While Tipplers dad looked after the rods as he went to the shop his alarms sounded and dad hooked into a fish. After a quick sprint around the lake, Tippler took over and eventually banked a fine condition Common of 15lbs 10oz!

Town Parks newcomer Liam Tibbitt celebrated his first visit by banking 2 Carp in quick succession from peg 14!

The top Match Lake also fished well with anglers reporting goods bags of Carp with up to 15 taken in a day session.

Pellet or worm fished into the margin has produced some good fish as the fish feed up ready for Winter.


Silvers are still showing strongly with some fine Bream and Roach which are falling to maggot, corn and luncheon meat!

Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 20/10

The unsettled weather kept the fish on the move at Town Parks Fishery this week. Anglers fishing the Specimen Lake had great sport as the fish fed up for Winter.

Dave Grylls fished peg 14 after a long absence from the Parks and banked five fish including a personal best! Fishing Cell boilies mid water Grylls banked several good doubles topped off with a fine 22lbs dead Mirror – his Town Parks PB!

Grylls fishing partner Gordon Batt also had a good session on peg 1 banking four high double Carp which fell to Starbaits Kelp and Spirolina Layerz boilies offered towards the main island.

Local rod John Connabeer fished from peg 10 and banked a beautiful fully scaled Mirror Carp. Connabeer also netted two Tench to 6lbs 1oz which took a bright yellow pop up offered 6 feet up a zig rig!!!

Town Parks regular Geoff Weller chose peg 5 for a 24hr session and was rewarded with a fine 23lbs  2oz Common which fell for a 15mm Cell boilie offered tight to the central bar.
Wellers alarm screamed off again a little while later and, after a 45 minute battle a huge Catfish, estimated in the thirtys, showed its head before shaking its head and breaking the line!!!  
This fine condition Fully Scaled Mirror Carp fell to a Cell boilie offered by Conor Nettleton form peg 6 at Town Parks Fishery.

Town Parks Fishery regular Conor Nettleton fished overnight from peg 6 and banked this beautiful Ghost Carp which fell to a Cell boilie.

Trevor Trebell netted a fine condition Common of 17lbs 2oz from peg 10 which fell to a 12mm C C Moore pop up.

Bream have also been feeding freely with fish to 7lbs reported this week!

The top Match Lake also saw anglers enjoying the action with Carp still taking food freely.

Rod Metcalf fished several pegs throughout the week and found fish feeding, especially tight in the margins.

Several very big Carp were taken in 18 inches of water with worm their favourite food!!
Carp also came to pellet as did Bream at most times of day! Silvers fell to maggot and castor offered at various depths with several anglers reporting bags in excess of 40lbs!


The unsettled weather has reduced the water temperature, although only by a couple of degrees, which is now holding around the 15 degree mark – high for the time of year!!

Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 13/10

Cooler unsettled weather produced testing angling conditions at Town Parks Fishery this week.

The Match Lake saw anglers braving wet and windy conditions although the fish still continued to feed.

Town Parks regular Conor Nettleton banked 29 Carp from various pegs during a day session! The fish fell to pellet and Cell boilies offered both in the margins and out in deeper water.

Bream were taken from most pegs with some anglers reporting 30 to 40lbs per session.
Silvers are still taking maggot although they have been feeding a little deeper than of late as the water temperature has dropped slightly – that said, the water is still around the 12.5 degree mark which is good for this time of year!

The Specimen Lake continues to produce good fish to those anglers doing their water craft!

One unnamed Grandfather fished with his grandson from 7 and 8 and was determined to catch anything but a Catfish. The gentleman had made his own boilies and flavoured them with plum and pineapple which he believed would only attract Carp! During the early hours his reel screamed off and, after a very extended battle a fine Catfish of 33lbs 2oz was on the bank!!!

Gordon Batt and Matty Feakes fished from pegs 1 and 16 and both enjoyed good sport.
Feakes took three Carp including a beautifully coloured Common of 16lbs 2oz.

Batt netted three fish including a lovely Fully Scaled Carp – one of the nicest he had seen.
Unfortunately Batt’s camera refused to reproduce any of the many pictures taken of the catches when he tried to download them!!!!

Cornwall rod Richard Simmonds fished overnight from peg 11 and netted five fish including three Catfish to 22lbs 3oz and two Carp of 19lbs 6oz and a fine Common of 23lbs 8oz! The Cats fell to luncheon meat offered mid water whilst the Carp took Cell boilies.


Plenty of Carp in the mid to high teens came to the bank, too many to list individually and smaller Cats to the same size produced some great sport for anglers!!

Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 6/10

As unsettled weather came in the fish went on and off the feed at Town Parks Fishery this week. The top Match Lake still fished well with anglers enjoying frantic sport at times.

Conor Nettleton banked 19 Carp during a day session with the fish taken from deeper water pegs. Coarse Pellet offered over a small bed of feed pellet proved effective!

Six children enjoying a Birthday party had fun catching Roach and Perch. Fishing from peg 1 one of the youngsters hooked into something much bigger! After an extended battle a beautiful 6lbs Common Carp came to the net much to the delight of everybody there!!!

Silvers have continued to show in numbers particularly Bream which are still feeding up very well and taking pellet and double maggot freely.

Meanwhile, the Specimen Lake also produced some great sport.

Yeovil rod John Cherrington fished from peg 7 trying to avoid the Catfish by fishing Plum and Pineapple boilies! Cherringtons plan did not quite go as planned as he battled and netted a fine 33lbs 1oz Catfish – his best fish for several years!!

Ten year old James Tippler fished Cell boilies from peg 12 placing his bait near the outflow pipe. Tippler hooked into an excellent Carp which he managed to get to the net! The 20lbs 2oz Mirror was in excellent condition and was quickly returned to the water after a quick picture!!

Paignton rod John Austin banked a couple of decent Carp of 16lbs 12oz and 14lbs 2oz from peg 9. Both fish fell to C C Moore Live System.

Paignton rod John Austin fished at Town Parks Fishery and chose peg 9. Fishing C C Moore Live System towards the central bar Austin banked a couple of good fish including this superb Common Carp.


This lovely condition Fully Scaled Mirror Carp fell to C C Moore Live System offered from peg 9 at Town Parks Fishery. The fish was banked during a session by local rod John Austin.


Plenty of Catfish and Carp continue to come to the bank mainly in the high teens or early twenties.

Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 29/9

With the continued settled weather conditions the fish stayed on the feed at Town Parks Fishery this week.

The Specimen Lake produced great sport with Catfish and Carp freely taking the anglers baits.

Steve Wright fished a session from peg 1 choosing Halibut flavour luncheon meat which he offered mid water. Within minutes of casting out Wright’s reel screamed off and he struck into a good sized fish! Eventually the Catfish was brought to the net and banked. The fish was Wright’s personal best hitting the scales at 30lbs 3oz!

Plymouth fireman Steve Wright banked his personal best Catfish at Town Parks Fishery. The 30lbs 3oz fish fell to a lump of luncheon meat offered mid water from peg 1.

Local rod Nathan Giddy banked his first, and second Catfish taking fish of 26lbs 2oz and 22lbs 4oz from peg 11!

Fishing partner Jay Harper had great sport on peg 9 taking 8 Carp to 19lbs 8oz whilst on peg 10 Joe Dawson had a 19lbs 4oz Cat and a couple of high teens Carp.

Many Carp, too many to list individually, came to the bank with most pegs producing fish.

The current water temperature is 16.8 degrees and shows no sign of dropping due to the warm weather – The Catfish will continue to feed up ready for the Winter lay up!!

On the top Match Lake sport was also good.

Bags of up to the 100lbs mark of Carp were reported by several anglers as the fish took coarse pellet and dead maggot offered up in the water.

Some large Carp have been taken and the Fishery would like to remind anglers that any fish over the 10lbs mark should be reported to the Bailiff so the fish can be moved to the Specimen Lake to grow on.


Silvers fed throughout taking small cubes of meat, maggot and castor. A couple of Tench were also reported, one taking a boilie offered for Carp!

Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 22/9

Fish continued to take anglers baits at Town Parks Fishery this week.

Plymouth rod Gary Mills topped off his recent personal best Catfish of 30lbs from peg 7 by banking his personal best Carp a cracking specimen Common of 28lbs 8oz which fell to luncheon meat offered near the box on the bar!

Tony Smith fished luncheon meat from peg 12 and took 6 fish including Carp to 22lbs and Catfish to 24lbs 4oz.

Ross Morris also had some action with the Cats on peg 11 taking three to 24lb.
           
Newton Abbot rod Matt Feakes  fished Cell boilies from peg 12 during a 24hr mid week session. Feakes had great sport netting 9 Carp, all doubles, including Commons of 24lbs dead and 23lbs 9oz!

This Specimen Common Carp of 24lbs dead fell to a Cell boilie offered form peg 12 at Town Parks Fishery by Matt Feakes.


Sean Collings chose peg 5 for a day session fishing Cell oilies towards the central bar.
Collings was rewarded with a beautiful, fine condition Ghost Common of 18lbs 0oz.

On the Match Lake sport was a little more sporadic although plenty of fish came to the bank.

Roddy Metcalf fished several short sessions taking up to 12 Carp on pellet.
Bream continued to show in numbers as did Roach and Perch. Maggot, worm and Castor proved effective.


Groups of students from Torbay School attended several short sessions and banked plentiful Roach and Rudd. One student banked his first Carp, a Common of 5lbs 8oz!
