Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 10/2

The Match Lake at Town Parks Fishery continued to provide good sport for anglers braving the conditions. Carp were on the feed especially along the deeper dam wall pegs.

Regular Brian Toy chose peg 15 for a day session casting his halibut pellet towards the small island. After an hour of no bites Toy moved his bait near the reeds surrounding the outflow. During the next hour four Carp had come to the net and by the end of the session eight Carp had been taken. A good day for Toy with the best fish well into double figures!

A party from Plymouth fished pegs 1 to 6 with several Carp taken as well as some large Roach and a couple of nice Skimmers.

Rod Metcalf fished various pegs during short visits and connected with Carp, Roach and Skimmers.

On the Specimen Lake Carp also came to the bank.

Dillon Hughes fished a session from peg 9 and broke his personal best not once but twice!
Fishing a single Cell boilie mid water Hughes banked his first double within an hour of arriving. Shortly afterwards his alarms screamed off again and this time a fine Mirror of 24lbs 0oz came to the net, an excellent personal best weight!

Dillon Hughes visited peg 9 at Town Parks Fishery and banked this fine Mirror Carp of 24lbs 0oz, his personal best! The fish fell to a Cell boilie and was one of two banked during Hughes’s session.

Nick Solomon fished peg 9 earlier in the week and was rewarded with two excellent  ondition Commons of 20lbs 0oz and 16lbs 14oz! Both Solomon’s fish fell to Cell boilies doubled up with coconut cream!

Paignton rod Nick Solomon chose peg 9 for a session at Town Parks Fishery and was rewarded with this impressive Common Carp of 20lbs dead.

Paignton rod John Hannaford also took two doubles from peg 10. Hannaford fished Cell with white pop up’s mid water.

On the opposite bank Regular Mark Warren once again banked fish from peg 1. Warren fished artificial sweetcorn and banked two Carp, a nice Leather of 18lbs 2oz and a Common of 14lbs dead.

Town Parks Fishery regular Mark Warren banked this fine Leather Carp from peg 1. The fish fell to two pieces of artificial sweetcorn offered mid water.

Most fish have come from the deeper water pegs although some very large Carp have been spotted behind the blue rope feeding in the margins!

The Fishery is open every day over the Half Term Holiday.
