Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 25/9

Good catches were reported from both lakes at Town Parks Fishery.

The top Match Lake continued to produce very good catches of Carp and Silvers.
Dam wall pegs continue to provide sport with pellet offered up in the water proving successful for multiple bags of carp.

Lee Hunt fished paste close to the margin and took over twenty carp on each visit.
Fish to the 12lbs mark helped to produce 170lbs bags during 6 hour sessions.

Robbie Metcalf fished his usual 3 or 4 sessions with up to 25 Carp to 10lbs from each visit!

Silvers showed from most pegs, still staying up in the water, and falling to maggot or castor.

The lower Specimen Lake saw anglers enjoying varying amounts of action.

Bristol rod Brian James fished peg 5 and had a hectic session taking five fish during a 24hr session. Two cracking Mirrors of 23lbs 3oz and 21lbs 8oz fell to sweetcorn offered in the bay to the left of the swim. A Catfish of 21lbs 9oz and two Mirrors to 19lbs 6oz also fell to squid boilies offered towards the bar.

First time visitor Peter Hoare travelled up from Looe and was rewarded with his first Catfish of 15lbs 5oz followed by his personal best Leather Carp of 16lbs 3oz. Spicey luncheon meat offered in the margin tempted all Hoare’s fish to the hook.

Looe rod Peter Hoare made his first visit to Town Parks Fishery and banked three fish including his first Catfish. Hoare also banked a fine Leather Carp of 16lbs 3oz and a Mirror of 15lbs.

First time visitor Peter Hoare banked this superb Leather Carp, his first, from peg 16 at Town Parks Fishery.

Andy Webster made another visit to peg 12 and was rewarded with a fine Cat of 23lbs 8oz which fell for spicey meat!

Local rod Andy Webster visited peg 12 at Town Parks Fishery and was rewarded with this fine Catfish of 23lbs 8oz. The fish fell to spicy luncheon meat offered in the margin.
With the warm weather expected to continue the prospects look very good on both lakes.
