Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 18/9

Fish continued to feed well at Town Parks Fishery this week.

Specimen Lake anglers saw plenty of action with Catfish and Carp falling for baits offered in most parts of the lake.

Exeter rod Lawrence Lane made his first visit and had a good session banking Carp of 19lbs 3oz and 15lbs 8oz from peg 3 offering Maple 8 boilies tipped with a white 8mm pop up.

Simon Humphries fished peg 10 taking 4 Carp overnight to 17lbs 5oz. Trimmed down Cell boilies with a very small pva bag filled with micro pellet offered near the island did the trick!

St Austell rod Colin Taylor fished peg 1 for the first time and banked his personal best Common of 15lbs 4oz which fell for Cell boilies offered towards the main island.

St Austell rod Colin Taylor fished peg 1 at Town Parks Fishery and banked his personal best Common Carp of 15lbs 4oz. The fish fell to Cell boilies offered towards the main island
Simon Benson banked six Carp to 16lbs 8oz topped off with a Catfish of 15lbs 4oz. Worm baits proved effective.

Some very large Catfish fell for halibut pellet offered in the margins although none came to the bank after snagging the anglers lines and breaking free, one after a 45 minute battle!

The top Match Lake produced good bags for anglers working the swim.

Carp in numbers fell to coarse pellet offered up in the water although a constant trickle of two or three pellets was needed to keep the fish feeding.

Rob Metcalf took fish to the 10lbs mark during several visits during the week. Metcalf took some excellent bags with 15 to 25 fish per visit!

Lee Hunt fished peg 16 using the same technique and had the fish right on the surface waiting for the freebies. He took fish for most of the day!

Essex rod Phil Bryant fished with partner Jill from pegs 9 and 10. Phil took a mixed bag on maggot and castor approaching 60lbs whilst Jill concentrated on Carp banking 21 to 9lbs 8oz mainly on pellet!

Bream to the 5lbs mark came to the bank falling for corn on the method.

Fishing has picked up on both lakes and with Winter approaching the fish should continue to feed up with some Catfish and Carp reaching top weight soon!
