Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 30/6

Fish were readily taking anglers baits on both lakes at Town Parks Fishery this week.

The top Match Lake saw Carp and Silvers coming to the net in numbers.

Paignton Sports and Community College fished daily matches during their Activity Week and all the pupils attending banked fish. One of the colleges Town Parks regulars Liam followed the advice of Coach Rod Metcalf and banked Carp and Skimmers from close to the island in front of peg 3.

Carp fell to pellet offered on the bottom and best of the week was 6lbs 8oz!

Carp have come to the net from most pegs both deep and shallow mainly taking pellet or corn.

Silvers continued to take maggot and castor offered up in the water with some medium to large bags reported!

On the Specimen Lake the Catfish were on the feed with anglers reporting some big fish both on the bank and lost at the net!!

Liverpool rod Rick Simmons fished overnight from peg 14 and enjoyed some excellent sport after offering his luncheon meat bait in the margins. Within the first twenty minutes Simmons had lost two good fish at the net but the action continued throughout the night! By early morning seven Catfish had been banked, the best a cracking 25lbs 5oz. All the fish were over 19lbs!

Matt Feakes fished peg 11 and banked fish throughout his session. Catfish, Carp and some good Tench came to the bank, best Carp around the 17lbs mark!

Two excellent Tench of 7lbs 8oz and 8lbs 4oz were banked from peg 7 complimented by a small Catfish and a good Carp of 17lbs 9oz! All the fish fell to Cell boilies.

Matt Conway banked his personal best Cat which tipped the scales at 19lbs 14oz.
The fish fell to luncheon meat offered form peg 13.

Matt Conway fished from peg 13 at Town Parks Fishery and banked his personal best Catfish of 19lbs 14oz. The fish took luncheon meat offered in the margins.
