Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 21/7

The extremely hot weather kept the anglers sweating at Town Parks Fishery this week.
Catches were very good considering the water temperature rising as it has recently.

The Specimen Lake saw both Catfish and Carp coming to the net, usually during the cooler early mornings and late evenings.

Suzie Young continued her recent run of good fish taking her first Catfish of 23lbs 13oz!
Young fished Halibut Pellet from peg 3 and had a real fight on her hands to get the fish to the net!!

Suzie Young continued her recent run of excellent catches at Town Parks Fishery taking this personal best Catfish of 23lbs 13oz. Youngs fish fell for a halibut pellet offered towards the central bar from peg 3.

Suzie Young banked her first Catfish from peg 3 at Town Parks Fishery and was clearly delighted!! The fish of 23lbs 13oz fell for Youngs halibut pellet offered towards the central bar!  

Meanwhile on peg 2 Dan Hall netted his first Catfish of 18lbs 1oz!

Peter Aylward netted some good Cat’s to 26lbs 3oz from peg 1 complemented with a nice Common Carp of 16lbs 4oz! All fish fell for homemade raspberry and whiskey flavoured boilies offered mid water!

Pete Aylward had a fantastic session from peg 1 at Town Parks Fishery taking several Catfish including this fine specimen of 26lbs 3oz. Awlward also banked a high double Carp with all his fish falling to homemade raspberry and whiskey boilies!

Conor Nettleton took a couple of decent Carp off the surface from peg 6 floating halibut flavoured floaters!

Local rod Paul Winstanley chose peg 2 at Town Parks Fishery for a spot of Cat fishing. Winstanley was rewarded with this personal best fish of 23lbs 0oz.

On the top Match Lake Carp fed well.

Nick Saint fished overnight with his son and banked 26 Carp from peg 10!

Rod Metcalf took some time out from school tuition to fish some early morning sessions.
Metcalf netted up to 15 Carp from peg 16 daily fishing pellet cast towards the main island and out in mid water!

Pupils from KEVICC fished daily during their Activities Week fishing margin whips baited with maggot. All the pupils attending banked numerous fish including some very nice sized Roach, Bream and Perch.

Many anglers reported large bags of Silvers with fish feeding freely taking maggot, castor and corn!!


With cooler conditions now upon us fishing should only improve further with the fish feeding throughout the day!
