Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 30/9

The top Match Lake at Town Parks Fishery provided excellent sport for anglers. Carp came to the bank in numbers taking baits offered up in the water.

Roddy Metcalf made several visits to the dam wall and took 100lbs bags on most visits.

Regular Brian Toy fished peg 15 in the margins and took 11 Carp also on pellet.

The Silvers have continued to feed despite the inclement weather at times taking maggot and castor offered a couple of rod lengths out from the bank.

On the lower Specimen Lake, Catfish were the order of the day with same great sport from most pegs.

Newton Abbot rod Matt Feakes broke his personal best twice in two weeks!
Feakes banked a beautiful Ghost Carp of 24lbs 2oz which beat his previous best and later had a screaming run which resulted with a fine Catfish of 32lbs 8oz in the net! Cell boilies offered mid water tempted the fish, Feakes was, of course, elated!
This long whiskered Catfish fell to a Cell boilie fished from peg 7 at Town Parks Fishery by Matt Feakes.
