Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 6/7

The changeable weather conditions during the week saw the fish feeding sporadically at Town Parks Fishery.

The Specimen Lake produced Carp and Catfish from most pegs with anglers having to carry out plenty of watercraft to identify where the fish were lying.

Town Parks regular Andy Handshaw did just that and took four fish from peg 5. Best of the bunch was a Catfish of 25lbs 6oz with two more Cats, both high doubles and a 18lbs 8oz Common. Cell boilies the bait!

On peg 6 local rod Bob Ineson banked his personal best Catfish at 30lbs 3oz and got snapped off by a much larger fish!

Following Ineson into peg 6 was visitor Craig Richards who promptly netted another Cat, his first of 25lbs 8oz!

Cell boilies accounted for all the Cats!!

Danny Harry made his first visit to Town Parks and was not disappointed when he netted four Carp to 19lbs 2oz and two Catfish both high teens!

Birmingham rod Norman Thorn enjoyed one of his yearly visits to Town Parks fishing from peg 7. Thorn took 7 fish in total, 6 Carp and a single Cat, all good doubles which took his Cell boilies!

Wayne Hockley fished a quick evening session from peg 14 and banked three Carp, 2 mirrors and a nice Leather. All the fish fell to baits offered in open water directly in front of the peg!

The top Match Lake produced plenty of action for school parties fishing during their Activities Week.

Students from KEVICC enjoyed catching Carp, Roach, Bream and Perch up in the water with maggot baits, whilst students from Plymstock School fished various pegs with one pupil netting 4 Carp including a nice Ghostie and a fine condition Crucian Carp!

Regulars also enjoyed the action with multiple bags of Carp being taken particularly during the early evening sessions.

The margins continue to produce the best nets with the fish moving in as the day anglers start packing up!

Bags of Silvers to the 80lbs mark were reported from several pegs with maggot and castor the favourite baits.

The onsite shop is open every day with stocks of fresh maggots, castor and worm as well as shelf life and frozen boilies and most other coarse baits and pellets!
