Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 23/6

As the hot sunny weather continued it wasn’t just the anglers who were sunbathing at Town Parks Fishery this week! The Carp were somewhat elusive as the temperatures soared into the high twenty’s!

On the Specimen Lake the Catfish did stay active with plenty of action for anglers targeting them.

Matt Feakes made a welcome return after a short break and it was not long before he was into the Cats! Feakes fished from peg 11 and tempted five good Catfish, all high doubles to the bank. Best of Feake’s bag a fine 25lbs 2oz!

Town Parks regular Matt Feakes enjoyed the sport from peg 11 taking five Catfish from the margins including this beauty! Cell boilies tempted all Feake’s fish!

Meanwhile on peg 13 brother Alan also enjoyed a great session taking his first Cat of 19lbs 8oz and following this with another three Cats!

Birmingham angler Alan Feakes had a frantic session from peg 13 at Town Parks Fishery banking his first four Catfish during the night. Cell boilies proved effective offered mid water and in the margins!

All these Catfish fell to Cell boilies.

Jay Harper chose peg 6 and was not disappointed with three Carp, all taken off the top on biscuit!

Local rod Matt Skelly fished a quick overnighter on 14 and banked three fish, two Cats and a Carp from the margins.

On the top Match Lake sport was sporadic with fish going on and off the feed.

Late evening and early morning sessions proved the most effective with multiple catches reported from anglers fishing these times.

Jon Haddon had a couple of day sessions with the Carp taking maggot offered close in the margins.

Rod Metcalfe and Conor Nettleton both had good sessions from the dam wall reporting up to 18 fish per session!

Dave Reynolds fished with sons Max and Ben from peg 5 and netted plenty of Silvers during the day. As evening approached Reynolds hooked into something much bigger and, after an extended battle a lovely Fully Scaled Mirror of 7lbs was on the bank!

Local rod Dave Reynolds fished with his sons Max and Ben from peg 5 and, after netting plenty of Silvers, finished the day with this fine Fine Mirror Carp!

Silvers were active with bags to the 40lbs mark reported from various pegs.
