Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 11/5

Changeable weather conditions saw the fish going on and off the feed although most anglers did connect with decent fish at Town Parks Fishery.

The Specimen Lake once again provided great sport with plenty of large fish showing.

Plymouth rod Phil Lamble fished overnight from peg 4 and took a brace of Catfish at 22lbs 0oz and 25lbs 8oz, his personal best. After trying very large “bloodied eel” pellets with no bites Lamble switched to 8 mm Robin Red pellets and tempted the fish!! Just shows that size of bait does make a difference!

Peg 16 at Town Parks Fishery’s Specimen Lake fished well for local rod Wayne Hockley who banked several fish including this Catfish.

Paignton rod Bob Ineson chose peg 10 for a quick overnighter and netted three fish, 2 Cats and a Carp. Best of the bunch was a fine Common of 25lbs 2oz with the two Cats in the 20lbs region. Banoffee boilies proved effective.

Twilight specialist Jim McCourt fished prawns for Catfish from peg 3 but was amazed to bank a superb Common Carp of 26lbs 1oz which seized the bait!

Town Parks Fishery regular Jim McCourt was fishing for Catfish form peg 3 when he hooked into, and banked this superb personal best Common Carp of 26lbs 1oz!

Jay Harper had a frantic session after arriving on peg 4 taking 6 fish overnight! Catfish of 28lbs 6oz, 22lbs dead, 21lbs 8oz and 17lbs a Common of 18lbs 3oz and finally a Fully Scaled Carp of 17lbs 6oz all took Harpers Cell boilies on the same rod!!

Bruce Woodward banked a couple of Cats to 22lbs 3oz from peg 11 and also a nice Tench, one of several reported this week of 6lbs 8oz!

:This lovely Mirror Carp fell to Cell boilie offered form peg 6 by Town Parks Fishery regular Gordon Batt.

On the top Match Lake sport was also good.

Richard Wood netted over 100lbs carp from peg 16 with all the fish falling to luncheon meat.

Conor Nettleton made several short visits to various pegs taking up to 13 Carp per visit with pellet.

Silvers have continued to fall to maggot and castor.
