Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 14/4


The fishing improved further as the temperatures rose at Town Parks Fishery this week.

On the Specimen Lake, sport was excellent with some fine fish coming to the net!

Jake Williams fished an overnighter from peg 9 and was rewarded with his first Catfish, a mid twenty specimen which took a filled maggot clip!

Local rod Jake Williams chose maggot to tempt this huge mid twenty’s Catfish taken from peg 9 at Town Parks Fishery. The fish put up a good struggle before reaching the net!

 Four Cat’s have come to the bank during the week but exact details were not left with the fishery!

On peg 12 local rod Malcolm Cutts had a great session banking his first fish at Town Parks after a lean spell at other fisheries. First to the net was an excellent Mirror which tipped the scales at 21lbs 1oz followed by a lovely condition Common of 17lbs 1oz. Both fish fell to a sweet flavoured boilie offered in the margins.

Local rod Malcolm Cutts banked this fine Mirror Carp of 17lbs 1oz from peg 12 at Town Parks Fishery. The fish, one of a brace, fell to a sweet boilie offered in the margins.
This fine condition Common Carp fell to the rod of Malcolm Cutts fishing peg 12 at Town Parks Fishery. The fish tipped the scales at 17lbs 1oz and was one of two fish banked!

 Newton Abbot rod Steve Owen chose peg 13 for a session and banked 12 double figure Carp, all taken on Cell boilies to 16lbs 4oz. Owen also took a good Tench of 6lbs 8oz.

Dave Grylls fished from peg 16 and netted six Carp to 15lbs 8oz whilst local rod Nick Solomon chose peg 12 and took two Carp on Cell boilies, the best a Common of 16lbs 3oz.

This Common of 16lbs 3oz was netted by Dave Grylls from peg 16 at Town Parks Fishery. The fish, one of six taken, fell to a Cell boilie offered mid water. 

Town Parks Fishery regular Dave Grylls had a cracking session from peg 16 banking 6 Carp including this fine Leather of 16lbs 1oz!

Matt Feakes banked four Carp from peg 5 whilst Torquay rod Paul Winstanley took a good Tench of 6lbs 9oz from peg 15 and a Common of 16lbs 4oz.

Matt Feakes banked this lovely Linear Carp from peg 5 at Town Parks Fishery. The fish fell to a Cell boilie offered mid water and was one of four Carp taken during his session.

Torquay rod Paul Winstanley had a great session from peg 15 at Town Parks Fishery banking numerous fish including this fine Linear of 16lbs 4oz. Winstanley also took a good Tench of 6lbs 9oz!


On the top Match Lake Conor Nettleton fished a 36hr session from peg 1. Fishing 10mm Cell boilies close to the margins Nettleton banked a very impressive 32 Carp!

Silvers continue to fall to maggot and castor with some very good bags reported from various pegs

Youngsters attending a tutored session took some good sized Roach and Perch from deeper water pegs!

Saturday see’s the funeral of Town Parks fisherman Jack Oakden. The service takes place at Churston Parish Church at 11.00 a.m. Donations for The Fire Fighters Charity and the Childrens Skill School at Town Parks Fishery can be made at the Fishery shop!
