Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 16/12

Fish continued to come to the bank at Town Parks Fishery throughout the week.

The top Match Lake saw Carp and Silvers feeding freely at times.

Matt Kelly chose peg 1 for a short day session fishing halibut and coarse pellet towards the islands. Kelly was surprised, banking 8 Carp with the best at 12lbs 8oz!!

Lee Hunt fished for Silvers on the pole from peg 20 and took a good mixed bag of Roach, Bream and Carp. Hunt fished maggot and pellet around the 12mt mark close to the bottom.

Rod Metcalf had trouble finding the Carp from peg 16. Fan casting around the peg Metcalf did eventually bank some decent fish on white pellet.

Meanwhile the Specimen Lake fished a little harder than of late but some good fish did come to the net.

Once again John Connabeer found the fish from peg 10. Connabeer fished his favourite single white pop up mid water to bank 2 Carp of 16lbs 2oz and 11lbs 3oz!

Nick Evans fished a day session on peg 1 braving atrocious weather conditions at times.
Evans fished a tutti frutti boilie mid water and, after a couple of knocks, banked a lovely condition Mirror.

Local rod Nick Evans fished a Tutti Fruitti boilie mid water from peg 1 at Town Parks Fishery and was rewarded with this excellent condition Mirror Carp.

Meanwhile Kevin Helmore fished maggot on the float for Roach from peg 3 and immediately caught and lost a good sized Carp. A little later Helmore’s float went under again and this time it was a bigger fish. Helmore was only fishing a 2lbs hooklink to 6lb mainline but after a considerable time playing the fish, a masterclass of angling to watch, Helmore netted a fine Mirror Carp of 13lbs 1oz!

Kevin Helmore chose peg 3 on the Specimen Lake at Town Parks Fishery to float fish for some Roach. Helmore hooked into something bigger that had taken his double maggot bait. After a prolonged battle this fine Mirror Carp of 13lbs 1oz. What made the catch amazing was that Helmore was fishing a 2lbs hooklink to 5lbs mainline!

Conor Nettleton set up on peg 10 and within 10 minutes of casting out his alarm sounded and he had a good Mirror of 12lbs in the net! The fish fell to a tutti fruitti boilie fished mid water.

The Fishery is open every day throughout the Christmas period with stocks of maggot, castor and worm plus frozen bait available.
