Excellent catches were reported form both lakes at Town Parks Fishery this week.

The top Match Lake saw anglers enjoying great sport with both Carp and Silvers showing in numbers.

Dam wall pegs saw the main action with Robbie Metcalf once again in the thick of the action. Enjoying early morning sessions Metcalf banked over 20 Carp per visit with most fish falling to pellet offered on the bottom.

Local rod Connor Nettleton took 23 Carp to double figures from peg 17 with sweetcorn whilst his mum banked her personal best Carp of 13lbs 8oz!

Silvers continue to show from most pegs, normally up in the water and falling to maggot or castor.

On the lower Specimen Lake, Carp came to the bank, mainly from the deeper water pegs.

Local rod Tom Schwenn banked this fine Mirror weighing 24lbs 3oz from peg six at Town Parks Fishery. The fish fell to a cell boilie offered mid water.
