TOWN PARKS FISHING CATCH REPORT W/E 7/11

A better week of catches were reported at Town Parks Fishery this week.

The fish have been moving more freely than of late with some great sport to be had.

On the lower Specimen Lake Kevin Brant visited peg 16 and banked his personal best Catfish! Fishing a bright green squid pop up mid water to the bar his reel screamed off and, after a long battle a fine fish of 27lbs 12oz was in the net.

Fishing a bright green pop up also produced fish for Nathan Price. Best of the bunch a good condition Common of 15lbs 4oz!

Tony Graham and Pete Knowles from South Wales fished a 24hr session from pegs 4 and 5 and both took their first Cat’s. Knowles took a Cat of 17lbs 4oz on halibut pellet and also banked two Mirrors of 16lbs 5oz and 14lbs 2oz. Graham’s Cat tipped the scales at 14lbs 7oz and was complimented with a fine Common of 18lbs 6oz. Both fish fell to spicy homemade boilies.

Darryl Lavis fished peg 9 in atrocious weather conditions but managed to take three Mirrors, the best 15lbs 3oz. Lavis fished mainline cell boilies fished tight to the main island.

The top Match Lake continued to produce good sport from most pegs.
Pete Lake visited peg 1 again and banked a couple of nice Carp to 6lbs 5oz. Lake has been snapped off several times on this peg and he is determined to bank the fish responsible which he believes is high double figures!

Silvers are still showing in numbers but are slightly deeper in the water due to the temperature drop.

Pegs for the Fishery’s Xmas Charity Matches supporting the Devon Air Ambulance are filling fast.

If you would like to fish the matches or support the Prize Draw contact the onsite shop on 01803 523133 for details.

The Coarse match on the Top Lake is being held on Sunday 5th December with a 7.45 am draw and fishing from 8.30 am until the weigh in at 4.30 pm.

The Specimen Lake match is on the following Sunday 12th Dec with the same draw and fishing times!
