Both lakes at Town Parks
Fishery responded well to the higher temperatures this week bringing the fish
onto the feed. The Specimen Lake produced some great sport with Carp and
Catfish taking anglers baits.
Junior Sophie Batt
fished with dad, Town Parks regular Gordon initially fishing maggot on the
float. After taking a good Bream near the 3lbs mark Sophie also banked numerous
Roach to 2lbs! Turning her attention to the Carp she banked 2 fine fish, both
personal bests!

First to hit the bank
was a Common of 12lbs 8oz which fell to a Cell boilie fished towards the
central bar.

During the evening the
alarm went off again and a fine, much larger Common, came to the net. Dad
Gordon was almost out fished but did manage to take 2 Carp, both Commons to
20lbs 8oz!

Gordon Batt banked two Carp including this lovely Common of 20lbs 9oz! The fish fell to a Cell boilie
offered towards the central bar.

Matt Feakes fished from
peg 2 and banked 6 Carp, all good doubles including a fine Ghostie of 20lbs
1oz. All the fish fell to Cell boilies. Feakes also lost a couple of fish but
did manage to net a good Catfish of 22lbs 3oz!

fished from peg 5 and took a beautifully coloured Mirror Carp of 17lbs 2oz.

A few Tench are also
showing with fish to the 5lbs mark reported from shallower pegs.
The top Match Lake saw
some medium to large bags of Silvers taken from various pegs.
Silvers responded to
maggot and castor with some bags to the 50lbs mark. Carp continued to take
baits offered up in the water with quite a few fish taken with floaters!
