Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 9/3

Another excellent week of catches at Town Parks Fishery. On the Specimen Lake the Catfish sprang to life as the water temperature rose to 11.3 degrees.

On his first visit of the year Local rod Dan Cummings chose peg 1 to fish to the main island.
During the night his Cell boilie was taken by something big and, after an extended battle a fine 30lbs 0oz Catfish was on the bank!

Peg 6 saw Richard Dainton bank a fine personal best Common Carp of 24lbs 1oz. The fish fell to a Coconut boilie and Pineapple pop up snowman.

After a long layoff Dan Pearce fished a short session from peg 1 and did not leave disappointed! Pearce banked two good Carp, a fine Mirror of 24lbs 2oz and a Common of 19lbs 3oz! Cell boilies fished towards the central bar near the island found the fish!!

Dan Pearce banked a brace of fine fish from peg 1 at Town Parks Fishery including this lovely Common Carp of 19lbs 3oz!

Local rod Dan Pearce banked this fine condition Mirror Carp of 24lbs 2oz from peg 1 at Town Parks Fishery. The fish fell to a Cell boilie fished close to the main island.

Exeter angler Andy Western fished the deeper water of peg 12 and banked 4 carp to 17lbs 4oz and a Catfish of 17lbs 1oz. Once again Cell boilies proved effectivel!

Conor Nettleton fished several short sessions taking fish to the 17lbs mark on each visit.

On the upper Match Lake sport was also good.

Newton Abbot rod Lee Hunt had a frantic session fishing to the island in front of peg 15.
Hunt fished a single pellet with a small bomb and immediately connected with the Carp.
Stopping counting after the seventeenth fish came to the net Hunt had trouble lifting his keepnet at the end of the day!!

Roddy Metcalfe continued his recent good run of fish taking up to 15 Carp a session.

Some of the Carp have been up in the water taking coarse pellet offered at the 3 foot mark!
Several anglers have reported bags of 10 Carp or more during day sessions.

Some fine Silvers have come to the net with one unnamed angler reporting a personal best Roach of 3lbs 1oz which fell to maggot fished mid water. Bags to the 40lbs mark have started to show with maggot and castor proving successful.
