Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 2/3

The Lakes at Town Parks Fishery continued to produce great sport for anglers this week.

The Specimen Lake saw plenty of anglers enjoying sport with an early Catfish making an appearance!

Peg 13 saw local rod Phil Byng fish only his second trip to the lake. Byng fished a coconut and tutti frutti snowman close to the old outflow pipe and was rewarded with his first ever Catfish and personal best weight of 18lbs 2oz!

Plymouth rods Dennis Assall and Gary Mills fished 9 and 10 as a birthday treat for Assall.
Assall banked the first fish of the trip 14lbs 1oz which he followed with another fine Common of 22lbs 8oz. Mills had the last laugh when his alarm screamed off and he banked a superb Common of 23lbs dead. Spicy crab and garlic boilies fished with a coconut pop up did the trick!

Local rod Mark Hill celebrated his birthday with a trip to Town Parks Fishery. His trip was worthwhile after he baked this lovely condition Mirror Carp of 15lbs 11oz which seized his Essential IB boilie.

Another angler enjoying a birthday weekend trip was Mark Hill. After a recent blank spell Hill was determined to net a fish!! His prayers were answered when he struck into a fine Mirror of 15lbs 11oz which had taken the Mainline Essential IB boilie fished mid water.

Plymouth junior Marley Duckett fished his first session from peg 12 placing his Cell and Fish boilies in the margins. Duckett banked a nice Common of 13lbs 9oz!

Torquay rod Mark Warren fished a night from peg 10 in atrocious weather conditions but had plenty of action. Warren banked four Carp to 17lbs 3oz before midnight and also lost a good fish at the net which he believed was a large Catfish!! Cell boilies proved irresistible!

John Connabeer grabbed a quick day to fish from peg 10 and banked a beautifully marked Linear which also took Cell boilies!

On the top Match Lake Roddy Metcalfe continued to take fish. During several short visits Metcalfe took up to 10 Carp with some to the 10lbs mark. Coarse pellet on the waggler fished around the 3 foot mark continued to prove effective!

A group of students from Exmouth College fished maggot on margin whips from sheltered pegs. All the students took fish with some fine Roach showing to the pound and three quarter mark!
