Once again the weather
kept all but the hardiest anglers in front of the telly!
With all the recent rain
fall the flow through the Lakes at Town Parks Fishery has increased giving the
water chance to refresh itself and clear out much of the silty deposits from
the Summer! The anglers who braved the conditions had good sport with some fine
fish coming to the net!
On the top Match Lake
local rod Colin Parnell enjoyed one of the better days fishing from peg 10. After
trying various baits Parnell decided to fish a strawberry boilie towards the
main island. Within minutes Parnell was celebrating after the bait was seized
by a fine Common Carp of 8lbs 8oz which was his first Winter carp!!!
Town Parks Fishery regular Colin Parnell was overjoyed when he connected with this fine Common Carp from peg 10 on the Match Lake. The fish was Parnell’s first Winter Carp! |
Continuing
his day Parnell switched to his margin pole and banked a medium bag of Roach
and Rudd!
Town Parks Fishery
regular Fred Rowe fished from peg 1 and placed his bait in the margin reeds. Rowe
netted 4 Carp to 11lbs 5oz which all took a fancy to his Crab Pellet bait!
Silvers are still
showing in numbers from most pegs with anglers reporting 20lbs plus bags!
On the Specimen Lake
Carp remained on the feed despite the conditions.
Numerous Carp in the
10lbs to 16lbs range came to the net taking various baits but predominately
Coconut based boilies!
Wolverhampton rod Mike
Symonds chose peg 12 for a day session whilst down in the area on holiday. Fishing
luncheon meat tight in the margin Symonds was soon into the action.
After an extended battle
a fine Common of 21lbs 3oz was on the bank.
Local rod Vince Thorne
fished from peg 7 placing his bait close to the waterfall. Thorne’s Coconut
boilie was not there for long when a lovely condition Leather Carp of 15lbs 3oz
took his bait!
All the staff at Town
Parks Fishery wishes a Happy, Safe and Prosperous New Year to all our
customers!
