The Lakes at Town Parks
Fishery continued to produce excellent sport for anglers this week.
The Specimen Lake saw some
cracking fish come to the net, as often happens during the winter months when
the Catfish are asleep.
Once again Conor
Nettleton had a good session from peg 14 fishing with a Cell pop up.
Nettleton’s recent run
of good fish continued when he connected with a fine Common Carp.
The fish put up a
tremendous fight before coming to the net. The scales hit exactly 26lbs, a
personal best for Nettleton!
Town Parks Fishery regular
Conor Nettleton continued his excellent recent run of fish banking this superb
personal best Ghost Carp of 26lbs dead. The fish fell to a Cell pop up.

On pegs 4 and 5 John
Austin senior and junior fished a day session. John junior lost a good fish
almost immediately but then hit another which tipped the scales at 20lbs 9oz, a
fine Common which fell to a red Cell pop up! Meanwhile John senior fished for
Bream from peg 5. Shortly after seeing his son bank his fish the alarm sounded
and John senior hooked into another good fish. This was a beautifully coloured
Common Carp which appeared to have some Koi in it!! Once on the bank and
weighed at 19lbs 1oz the fish was returned to the water.

looked much bigger! All Nathans fish fell to a pop up offered close to the
“duck run” on the main island!

Tyson Norton fished from
peg 1 and, despite catching a few Bream banked a lovely condition Mirror which is
distinctive as it has a huge single scale on its right flank!
On the top Match Lake

Nettleton fished a single piece of artificial corn at various depths. During
his first visit 12 fish came to the net, the following day 13 fish were
