Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 8/12

The fish went back on the feed at Town Parks Fishery as the temperatures rose again.

On the Specimen Lake sport was good with plenty of fish coming to the net.

Local rod Joe Garrett fished from peg 2 casting towards the central bar. A single Cell boilie proved effective as Garrett netted three good Carp with the best a fine condition Common of 22lbs 1oz!

Sean Collings chose peg 5 for a day session and took a beautiful Autumn colour Common Carp of 20lbs dead. The fish took the bait just as the light dropped.

Town Parks Fishery regular Sean Collings fished Cell boilies from peg 5 on the Specimen Lake and was rewarded with this superb condition Common Carp which tipped the scales at 20lbs 0oz.

Mark Hill also had a good session banking two Carp after a recent lean spell. Both the fish were high teens and took a cell boilie with a banoffee pop up.

Town Parks regular Trevor Trebell fished from peg 13 and also netted two decent Commons in the mid teens.

Plenty of Carp in the 12lbs to 16lbs range were reported from various pegs both deep and shallow water!

Bream have continued to provide great sport with bags of 40 to 50lbs common. Anglers fishing around the island have seemed to fare better fishing dead maggot on a short hooklink from a small feeder!

Steve Wright, Phil Edwards and Rod Metcalfe had several sessions throughout the week with the bream feeding well they also took a few specimen size Roach which also came on the feed. Edwards took a nice Bream of 5lbs 10oz to top off his session!

Local rod Phill Edwards fished for Bream from peg 3 at Town Parks Fishery and took some fine fish including this one of 5lbs 10oz. The fish fell to maggot offered on a size 14 hook cast mid water.

On the top Match Lake, sport also improved with anglers connecting with Carp which were happy to feed.

Exmouth rod John Whitear fish from peg 2 with fake banoffee corn and a small bag of pellets. Whitear had great sport taking 7 Carp to 12lbs!

Lee Hunt fished towards the island in front of peg 18 and banked 8 Carp. Placing his bait close to the overhanging branches Hunt used a small yellow pellet to take the initial fish then changed to normal coarse pellet which the fish took freely!!

With the settled weather set to continue the fish should stay on the feed providing good sport for anglers for the foreseeable future!
