Very unsettled weather
kept the fish on the feed Town Parks Fishery at this week. The anglers who
braved the conditions had some great sport.
Over the weekend around
two dozen large Carp came to net on the Specimen Lake!
Once again Conor
Nettleton enjoyed frantic sport during a couple of day sessions fishing in
atrocious weather conditions. Fishing from peg 14 Nettleton had 17 runs and
banked 7 fish!
Cell boilies proved very
effective with some beautiful fish hitting the bank. A fine fully scaled Ghost
Carp of 23lbs 0oz was the pick of the crop followed by several fish in the high
teens and low twentys!
Local rod
Conor Nettleton fished from peg 14 at Town Parks Fishery and was rewarded with
seven fish including this beautiful Common Carp of 22lbs 8oz!

Jake Goodland banked two
good Carp from peg 15. Goodlands fish fell to pop ups offered mid water.
Joe Garrett chose peg 5
and banked three good Carp to 19lbs 1oz during very inclement weather! Once
again pop ups did the trick! Plenty of mid to high teen fish came to the bank,
too many to list individually!
The bream also continued
to provide great sport with match anglers hitting the fish around the main
island. Bags to 50lbs were reported with the fish still showing a liking for
dead red maggot!
On the upper Match Lake
sport was also good with both Carp and Silvers showing in numbers.
Anglers reported medium
bags of Carp which fell to pellet and corn offered in the margins.
Silvers were in deeper
water but still taking maggot and castor.
The onsite shop is open
every day over the and New Year holidays with supplies of fresh and frozen
baits!
The fishery would like to
wish everybody a Happy, Safe and Prosperous New Year!
Anglers entered the Christmas spirit at Town Parks Fishery! |
