Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 4/8

Catfish and Carp came to the net in numbers this week at Town Parks Fishery. The Specimen Lake saw anglers enjoying sport from most pegs with some fine personal bests and “firsts” reported!

A cracking Catfish of 32lbs 2oz fell to a halibut pellet offered in the margins of peg 12 by local rod Eddie Scott!

Dale Churchward banked another good Cat of 24lbs 1oz from peg 7 which also fell to halibut pellet.

Local rod Dale Churchward fished from peg 7 at Town Parks Fishery and was rewarded with this fine Catfish which tipped the scales at 24lbs dead!

Matt Skelly had a good short session from 1 taking three mid twenty’s in quick succession!

Matt Skelly made several short visits to Town Parks fishing various pegs around the Lake. Peg 1 fished very well and Skelly banked three good mid twenty’s including this stunning Common. 

Mark Groft celebrated his first Town Parks twenty banking a fine condition Common of 20lbs dead. The fish took Grofts Cell boilie from the bar in front of peg 8!

Mark Groft visited peg 9 at Town Parks Fishery and fished a Cell boilie towards the main bar. Grofts bait was taken by this lovely condition Common, his personal best at Town Parks.

Town Parks first timers Joe Dawson and Terry Small celebrated some excellent sport taking a dozen fish between them. Amongst Dawson’s haul was a fine Common of 23lbs 7oz and a Catfish of 20lbs 5oz. Small’s bag included Carp to 19lbs 8oz and Catfish to 17lbs.

Gary Newell fished from 14 banking a fine Cat of 25lbs 1oz and two Carp to 17lbs 8oz!
All Newell’s fish fell to halibut pellet.

Dan Cummings also had plenty of action from peg 2 banking two Catfish to 19lbs 2oz and three Carp to mid teens all which fell to monster squid boilies

Conor Nettleton celebrated his birthday netting 12 Carp to 19lbs 8oz during his 48hr session.

The top Match Lake also fished well with anglers reporting medium to large bags of Carp and Silvers.

Mitchell Steer had a great session from peg 10 bringing 21 Carp to the bank, best around the 11lbs mark!


Dam wall pegs also produced good sport with anglers taking 10 to 20 fish a session on with pellet. Silvers continued to fall to maggot and castor offered up in the water!
