Catches
continued from both Lakes at Town Parks Fishery this week.
The Specimen
Lake saw anglers enjoying frantic action with several reporting double takes
and two fish on the bank at the same time!
Matt Skelly
continued to take fish during several short visits with best Carp in the mid to
high twenty’s!
Local rod Dale Churchill fished overnight from peg 12 at Town Parks Fishery and
banked this excellent Catfish which had seized his Halibut pellet bait in the
early hours! |
Plymouth rod
Phil Lamble banked 5 fish, after losing a good Catfish from peg 8, taking four
in quick succession during the morning. Halibut pellet tipped off with pop up
corn tempted all Lambles fish. Brother John banked a good 20lbs dead Common
from peg 7 whilst Shaun Lamble netted a fine Catfish of 23lbs 4oz which also
fell to Halibut pellet.
Gordon Batt
took a good Cat from peg 6 of 26lbs 1oz which fell to Luncheon meat offered in
the margins.
Town Parks Fishery regular Gordon Batt offered Luncheon meat in the margins of
peg 6 and was rewarded with this fine Catfish of 26lbs 1oz! |
On the Match
Lake sport was also very good.
Rod Metcalfe
got into the bigger Carp in the margins during a short visit to peg 17. Offering
single worm over a bed of ground bait five Carp over 10lbs siezed the bait
within a couple of minutes!
Fred Rowe
took four Carp during a short session in peg 5 while Liverpool rod Steve Rogers
banked over 70lbs of Bream from peg 3!
Roach fed
well up in the water with some large bags reported from various pegs – maggot
and castor still working well!
A couple of
good Tench were reported by early morning anglers!
The Fishery
is open as usual all over the Bank Holiday weekend with fresh and frozen baits
available.
