Both Lakes
fished exceptionally well at Town Parks Fishery as the settled weather kept the
fish on the feed.
The Specimen
Lake saw anglers taking Catfish and Carp from the surface and also along the
deeper margins.
Once again
Matt Skelly led the charge taking 19 fish during a 24hr session from peg 9!
Plenty of
floaters offered towards the central bar proved fatal for the hungry Carp as
fish after fish fell to the bait with the hook!! Best of the bunch around the
20lbs mark – excellent sport!!
Catfish also
fell the anglers baits with many fish coming to the net.
Local Tris Smith offered his worm bait from peg 3 at Town Parks Fishery and was
rewarded with this fine Catfish of 24lbs 5oz. |
Tris Smith
banked a good sized Cat of 24lbs 5oz from peg 3 fishing worm mid water whilst
Jim McCourt took a great Cat, float fishing worm from peg 9. McCourt’s fish
tipped the scales at 27lbs 5oz!
Oliver
Barnett netted a fine Common Carp from peg 1 which fell to a Cell boilie
offered under the overhanging willow tree to the left of the peg.
Local rod Oliver Barnett fished form peg 1 at Town Parks Fishery and banked this
fine condition Common Carp which fell for a Cell boilie offered in the
margins. |
Andy Meredith
fished from peg 16 with son Josh netting 3 good Carp. Josh took a nice Linear
Mirror of just over 15lbs!
Josh Meredith fished from peg 16 with dad Andy at Town Parks Fishery. The pair
took three Carp with Josh taking this fine Common of just under
16lbs! |
The top Match
Lake also fished well.
Rod Metcalf
had some fantastic sessions taking up to 120lbs of Carp per visit!
Coarse pellet
fished on the waggler from dam wall pegs did the trick!
Many other
Carp came to the bank falling to various baits including maggot, meat and corn.
Silver
continued to feed well. Large bags were taken from many pegs by juniors and
seniors alike. A few Tench showed this week – mainly from the shallower pegs 5
to 10.
