A great week
of catches was reported form both Lakes at Town Parks Fishery with many anglers
reporting they’re first of a species or personal bests.
As the
weather became a little more unsettled than of late the changes in air pressure
kept the fish on the feed.
On the
Specimen Lake Catfish continued to come to the bank in numbers taking various
baits including worm, pellet and luncheon meat.
Phil Lamble
took a personal 22lbs 0oz on pellet and was “smashed up” by a massive fish
whilst family members John and Shaun also beat their personal best Cat’s. Best
reported this week 28lbs 4oz.
Carp also
showed especially during the early morning and late evening periods.
Matt Skelly
banked a few good doubles during a couple of visits while Dan Wall netted four
Carp and two Catfish during his overnighter form peg 4.
Fish were
reported from most pegs as the fish moved around looking for food.
On the upper
Match Lake Carp fell to most baits offered up in the water with anglers reporting
up to twenty fish taken in a single session.
Some fish
were taken off the top with floaters although many anglers were left frustrated
as the fish ate everything except the hook baits!!
Silvers also
showed well with some fine condition Roach and Rudd reported.
A couple of Tench were taken from peg 8 with
corn baits offered in the margin.
