Both lakes at
Town Parks Fishery produced good sport for anglers despite the hot sunny
weather conditions.
The top Match
Lake saw anglers banking fish from most pegs particularly along the Dam wall.
Simon Gamlin
had some excellent early morning sport netting 8 Carp form the margin reeds of
peg 20 with luncheon meat.
Perry
Northeast also had a good day on the Dam taking 10 Carp to double figures on a
couple of dead maggots offered on the bottom.
Rod Metcalf
took a dozen or so Carp during most visits using pellet or maggot. Metcalf also had a good late afternoon session
fishing JPZ Crustacean jelly pellets.
Silvers fell
to maggot or castor in numbers with anglers reporting medium to large bags from
both shallow and deeper water pegs!
On the
Specimen Lake Catfish fed well with plenty of action for first timers and
experienced anglers alike!
Bristol rod
John Pickford chose peg 10 to fish Halibut pellet mid water and was rewarded
with 8 Catfish to 23lbs 6oz and 5 Carp to 21lbs 5oz both personal bets fish!

Fishing
partner Arron Mills also had a good time on 11 taking 4 Carp to 22lbs 12ozs,
also a personal best.

Many anglers reported being snapped off by big
Catfish especially around the deeper water pegs 10 through to 16!
Richard
Clarkson netted a fine Tench, one of several taken over the weekend, from peg
5. The fish, of 7lbs 8oz fell for a prawn dusted in Krill dust fished on the
bottom!

Floaters were
freely taken by Carp during an evening session by Plymouth rod Keith Roberts. Roberts
took five Carp off the top the best a good 20lbs 3oz!
