Some
excellent fish came to the net at Town Parks Fishery this week as both Lakes
produced good sport.
On the
Specimen Lake Catfish and Carp came to the bank in numbers with several anglers
celebrating their first specimen.
Suzie Young
had a good session from peg 8 banking her personal best Carp at 16lbs 15oz.
Young also
had a smaller Carp and lost a couple more at the net. All the fish fell to Cell
boilies.
Local rod Suzie Young fished Cell boilies from peg 8 at Town Parks Fishery and
was rewarded with her personal best Carp of 16lbs 15oz! Young also banked
another smaller Carp! |
Adrian Pegg
banked his first Catfish from peg 1 whilst his fishing partner on 16 Lyndsay
Voisey also took his first Cat, one of three,
21lbs 1oz and also three more Carp!
Simon
Humphries netted three Carp to 16lbs 1oz and lost another three at the net –
pineapple dumbbells proving effective.
Somerset rod
Neil Harris fished banoffee boilies close to the margins of peg 12 and was
rewarded with four Carp!
Pete Roberts
fished from peg 6 and banked Cats to 21lbs 12oz which fell for luncheon meat
offered near the island.
Dan Hall took
a good brace from peg 5 with both fish high teens and falling for White
Chocolate boilies offered close to the bar!
On the top
Match Lake, sport was a little more sporadic with the fish sunbathing at times
in the sunny weather. That said, Carp
did feed well during the early morning and evening sessions. Bags to mid teens
were reported by many anglers during these times but during the warmer hours
Carp frustrated everyone by sunbathing and refusing to take floaters or
anything else!
Lee Hunt
fished paste from peg 14 fishing tight to the reeds near the outflow. After
being snapped several times by big fish Hunt eventually banked six decent Carp!
Silvers,
especially Bream continued to feed throughout the day with some large bags
taken on maggot or castor.
