Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 28/4


Excellent sport on the Specimen Lake at Town Parks Fishery saw anglers enjoying their first Catfish and personal best weights! With the water temperature reaching 16 degrees the fish went on a feeding frenzy!

On peg 12 local rod Andy Webster fished his first session of the year and banked some cracking fish. First on the bank was a fine Catfish of 28lbs 3oz which was followed by a superb Common Carp of 25lbs 4oz and then another Cat of 24lbs 2oz. Webster fished Halibut pellets around the margins and mid water in front of the peg!

Local rod Andy Webster made his first trip of the year to Town Parks Fishery and  showed he had not lost his touch. Webster banked three superb fish including two Catfish of 28lbs 3oz and 24lbs 2oz topped off with a fine Common of 25lbs 4oz! All the fish fell to halibut pellet.

On peg 11 Rob Boyne ended a lean run of fish by banking 4 fish, all cats of 18lbs 5oz, 19lbs 6oz, 20lbs 2oz and a fine 24lbs 2oz all taken on worm!

Local rod Rob Boyne ended a lean spell in great fashion banking four superb fish including this fine Catfish of 24lbs 2oz at Town Parks Fishery. Boynes fish fell to worm offered on the float.

Peg 10 saw local rod Lee Hunt take a superb Fishery record Bream of 12lbs 0oz! The fish fell to a sweet boilie offered mid water which also attracted Common Carp of 15lbs 8oz and 16lbs 3oz, Mirror Carp of 20lbs 1oz and 22lbs 8oz and a Catfish of 17lbs 4oz!

Lee Hunt fished from peg 10 at Town Parks Fishery and netted this Fishery record Bream which tipped the scales at 12lbs 0oz. The fish fell for a sweet flavoured boilie offered mid water.

Lee Hunt banked this Mirror Carp of 16lbs 3oz from peg 10 at Town Parks Fishery. The fish, one of several during the session fell to a sweet flavoured boilie.

Dale Churchward banked a lovely condition Common from peg 7 which fell for a Passion Baits test boilie!

Town Parks Regular Dale Churchward fished a Passion Baits boilie from peg 7 and was rewarded with this fine Common Carp.

Many Catfish have come to the bank including a fine specimen of 27lbs 3ozs which fell to a float fished maggot from peg 8!

The top Match Lake also fished well, although sporadically, with some good bags reported.

Silvers came to the net falling to maggot and castor offered up in the water.

Some good Tench to the 6lbs mark have been reported from shallower pegs as well as some good sized Bream all falling to corn or pellet.

Roddy Metcalf took Carp from the dam wall during several visits banking several each time.
