Town Parks
Fishery was shocked and saddened by the news of the sudden death of long time
angler Jack Oakden. Jack fished regularly at the Fishery with his faithful spaniel
Bellen by his side. He was also a member of the shop and tuition staff.
Jack was very
highly regarded by everyone he met with his wealth of experience and friendly
personality - he will be sadly missed!
The Fishery
extends their best wishes to Jack’s wife and family at this sad time.
On the lower
Specimen Lake some excellent sport was enjoyed during the more settled days.
Matt Skelley
enjoyed a fantastic session from peg 6 during a sunny day banking four Carp and
loosing another three! Skelley’s fish were all in the low to mid twenty range
and fell for a sweet boilie offered tight in the margins.

Meanwhile on

Roach. As the maggot sank the bait was seized by something much bigger than a
Roach. After an extended battle on 6lbs line a fine Mirror Carp of 20lbs 1oz
was in the net!
Conor
Nettleton banked a fine condition Linear Carp from peg 12. The fish fell to a
Cell boilie offered in the margins.
Carl Chappell
fished from peg 14 and netted a good Common which tipped the scales at 18lbs
1oz!
Junior Oakley
Hunt fished a Silvers session from peg 3 and was rewarded with a very good
Roach around the 2lbs mark!

On the top
Match Lake, sport was more sporadic with the fish going on and off the feed.
Roach did
show in numbers taking maggot and castor offered around half depth.
Carp came to
the bank from the margins of pegs 1 and 14!
