The Specimen Lake at
Town Parks Fishery provided excellent sport this week with many anglers banking
fish. Some bigger fish were reported to have thrown the hook before coming to
the net!
On peg 10 Mark Warren took
two good Carp which fell for his Cell boilie offered above a white pop up mid
water. Warrens best fish, a good Common of 19lbs 3oz.
Matty Feakes chose peg
16 and fished banana crunch boilies towards the central bar.
Feakes banked a nice
Common followed by a Mirror of 16lbs 8oz.
Conor Nettleton fished
peg 10 and banked two good Commons which fell to a Cell boilie offered mid
water. Nettletons best was 18lbs 2oz he also lost a couple of fish.
Trevor Trebell also had
a good session, his first for a while, banking two Carp from peg 2.
Town Parks Fishery regular Trevor Trebell fished a Cell boilie from peg 2 and banked this beautifully marked Fully Scaled Carp. |
Nick Soloman fished from
peg 12 in atrocious weather, a strong westerly blowing straight into the peg
with heavy rain, but managed to bank two Carp from the margin.
With more unsettled
weather forecast the Carp should continue to feed and hopefully some of the
larger fish known to be in the lake will come to the bank!!
Charlie Leggett pole
fished from peg 5 with a size 20 hook and single maggot. Leggett took a good
bag of Roach cumulating with a fine fish of just under 2lbs!
Charlie Leggett fished his pole from peg 5 at Town Parks Fishery and amongst his good bag of Silvers was this excellent Roach of just under 2lbs! The fish fell to maggot offered on a size 20 hook. |
The top Match Lake also
saw anglers taking good mixed bags.
Carp were on and off the
feed during most days although some anglers reported bags of 6 or more during a
day session.
Once again Rod Metcalf
banked good sized Carp during several sessions throughout the week. Most Carp
fell to single sweetcorn offered from the dam wall.
