Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 23/12

With heavy rain a feature of the previous week the fish continued to feed hunting out any natural freebies washed in the inflow!

The Match Lake saw Carp and Silvers taking maggot and worm fished from most pegs.

Rod Metcalf continued his good run of Winter catches taking Silvers and Carp from various pegs in the deeper water.

Fred Rowe found a couple of Carp from peg 5 whilst visitor Chris Walters banked some good sized Bream from peg 14.

Sweetcorn tempted three Carp to 7lbs for local rod Ali Brown.

On the lower Specimen Lake John Stevens fished an overnighter from peg 14 offering a Cell boilie over a small pva bag of pellet. Stevens took two Commons of 14lbs 2oz and 21lbs 4oz which fell to the bait offered towards the central bar!

Mark Warren also connected with a couple of Carp, the best 17lbs 3oz which took a Cell boilie tipped off with a white pop up and offered mid water.

Some good Silvers have also been taken from deeper water pegs with several anglers reporting Roach to the 2lbs mark and Bream to 5lbs!

The Town Parks Team would like to wish all their customers and suppliers a Healthy, Happy and Prosperous New Year!

The Fishery is open every day throughout the New Year!
