Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 24/6

Fish fed sporadically at Town Parks Fishery this week with some very nice fish coming to the bank when they were on the feed.

Local rod Mark Warren visited peg 16 and fished a Cell boilie tipped with a scopex pop up mid water. Warren soon hooked into a good fish and banked a lovely personal best Common Carp of 23lbs 15oz. Shortly after he had returned this fish the same rod screamed off and, after a long battle, Warren banked another superb Common of 25lbs 2oz – another personal best!

Visitor John Rogers chose peg 9 for a 24hr session. Rogers fished different baits on all three rods and was targeting the Catfish. By the end of his session Rogers had banked six Cat’s, the best a fine 37lbs 3oz which fell to luncheon meat offered in the margins.

Numerous Carp in the high teens came to the bank most falling for sweet baits, pineapple, tutti frutti, coconut etc.

Steve Wright and Kev Carter are continuing preparations for the forthcoming Fish-A-Thon, to be held at Town Parks, in aid of the Firefighters Charity. The event is scheduled to take place between Friday 27th July and Friday 3rd August. Sponsorship forms are held at Town Parks on site shop or you can donate online via the website.
