Good catches continued on both Lakes at Town Parks
Fishery this week.
The Specimen Lake fished well despite the changeable
weather conditions.
Local rod Dave Tozer fished peg 12 for a night in
atrocious rain and gales. Tozer was rewarded when his alarms screamed off at
1.00 am and after a long battle, soaked and cold he banked a superb Common Carp
of 27lbs 15oz which had fallen for sweetcorn. Tozer woke up his fishing partner
and reweighed the fish, in the bivvy, to confirm the weight!
This was Tozers personal best at Town Parks Fishery.
Regular Mark Hughes visited peg 15 and fished Cell
boilies near the central bar.
Hughes banked five Carp the best a fine Ghostie of
24lbs 8oz.
Local rod Mark Hughes fished peg 14 at Town Parks Fishery and was rewarded with this fine Ghost Carp which tipped the scales at 24lbs 8oz. The fish fell for a Cell boilie offered mid water. |
Many Carp in the high teens and low twenty’s came to
the bank with most pegs fishing well.
Plymouth rod Scott Bryant had a great session from
peg 5 taking five Carp to 22lbs 5oz and a good Cat of 24lbs 8oz. Numerous
Catfish fell to Halibut pellet and luncheon meat, the best reported at 25lbs 9oz.
On the top Match Lake very large bags of Silvers
were taken with Roach coming to maggot and castor whilst Skimmers took corn. Carp
were active especially around the outflow pegs with anglers taking large bags
mainly on coarse pellet.
Some very nice Crucians were taken from various pegs
– one angler taking 25 to the 5lb mark!
