Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 22/5

Testing fishing conditions on the Specimen Lake at Town Parks produced few catches of note this week.

Catfish continued to fall to Luncheon meat and worm baits with plenty of fish coming to the bank.
Visitor Brian Down fished meat tight to the margins around peg 12 and was rewarded with four Catfish, the best a fine 27lbs 12oz!

On peg 5 Steve Delaney took his first ever Cat at 19lbs 8oz.

Carp were somewhat elusive and hesitant to feed after some had spawned a week or so ago whilst some have still to perform!
Lancashire rod Colin Alford fished a 24hr session from peg 15 fishing Cell boilies mid water.
Alford was rewarded with two Carp, a Common of 21lbs 3oz and a nice fully scaled Mirror of 20lbs 1oz, and a single Catfish, his first, of 18lbs 10oz.

Dave Osmond was in form on peg 6 banking six Carp, four twenty pound plus, during short sessions.

On the top Match Lake good bags were reported.

Carp continued to feed in the deeper water. Duncan Arnold fished an overnighter with sons Harrison and Jack and banked over twenty fish the best around the 10lbs mark!
Silvers were on the feed up in the water from most pegs maggot proving effective.

The Fishery is open all over the Bank Holiday weekend.
