Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 16/6

After the rigors of spawning the fish returned to the feed in big style at Town Parks Fishery this week!

The Specimen Lake saw anglers on most pegs enjoying great sport.

Peg 6 saw some excellent fish come to the bank.

Local rod Luke Martin returned, after a lean spell to net 7 Carp and a Catfish and dropping another couple of fish! All Martin’s fish were good doubles with the best a fine Common of 25lbs dead! Cell boilies proved irresistible!!

Luke Martin took 7 Carp to 25lbs from peg 6 at Town Parks Fishery. This double figure Common fell to a Cell boilie.

Local rod Luke Martin had a frantic session on peg 6 at Town Parks Fishery. Martin netted 7 Carp, the best this cracking 25lbs 0oz Common, one Catfish and lost another 2 fish at the net! Cell boilies proved effective!

Conor Nettleton fished from 12 and banked three Carp but lost a “massive” Cat after it snapped him off!

John Connabeer chose peg 13 for a day session fishing a piece of black foam on the zig.
Within minutes Connabeer was rewarded with a lovely condition Common of 19lbs 8oz!

Paignton rod John Connabeer fished a foam ball on a zig rig from peg 13 at Town Parks Fishery and was rewarded with this fine Common Carp of 19lbs 3oz!

Exeter rod Lee Rowe banked three Cats and three Carp from peg 10, best 18lbs 10oz!

Meanwhile on peg 11, Bob Hewitt was float fishing for Roach when something much bigger seized his float fished maggots! Fishing 4lbs line straight through Hewitt eventually netted the Carp which was subsequently weighed at 16lbs 2oz! As Hewitt continued to fish his bait was taken again, this time by a fish estimated at top twenty’s which immediately swam away breaking the line as it did so!

Town Parks Fishery regular Bob Hewitt float fished from peg 11 in atrocious weather conditions. Hewitt’s maggot bait was soon seized by this 16lbs 2oz Common which Hewitt netted despite having 4lbs line straight through!!

Numerous Carp, too many to list individually, came to the bank.

On the top Match Lake sport was also good with Carp a plenty reaching the net!

Local junior Bradley Nettleton fished pellet from the dam wall on the Match Lake at Town Parks Fishery and banked this cracking little Common Carp of 4lbs 6oz!

Exmouth rods Jon Western and John Whitear fished JPZ pellets and 8mm plugs of luncheon meat from peg 10 and took over 30 Carp to 10lbs 7oz!

Conor Nettleton moved to peg 16 from the Specimen Lake and had a great night taking no less than 34 Carp on Cell boilies fished over a bed of particles!

Silvers also showed well with Steve Wright taking some good bags on maggot from pegs 20 and 1.

Bream also came to the hook taking corn and meat baits!
