Despite colder weather
excellent catches were reported from the Specimen Lake at Town Parks Fishery. Many

various pegs.

a lovely Leather of 14lbs dead.

Brixham newcomer Callum

Torquay rod Gordon Batt
took a nice Linear Carp which, although not in the twentys, was in fine
condition!
On the upper Match Lake
Regular Rod Metcalf continued to find Carp from various peg although the fish
were elusive at times. After an afternoon of Silver fishing Metcalf noticed
movement in the reeds bordering the car park as he was packing up. Although the
light was fading Metcalf fished a single piece of white sweetcorn tight to the
reeds from his pole at 16mts. After a few minutes Metcalf had banked a sizable
Carp and followed this one with three more!
Sunday regular Fred Rowe
managed to bank a couple of good Carp from the same peg although one retrieve
was made more difficult as Rowe’s line had frozen to the rings of his rod as
the daytime temperature hovered around freezing!!
Some nice Roach were
reported deep near the bottom as were the Bream.
With the colder weather
expected to remain for the foreseeable future the fish should hopefully stay on
the feed!
