Fish continued to come
to the bank at Town Parks Fishery despite the very changeable weather
conditions.
The upper Match Lake
fished well from most pegs although the fish were much deeper in the water than
of late probably due to the colder rainwater entering the lake.
Regulars Jim and Brenda
Morrissey took 10 Carp to the 6lbs mark from peg 3 casting pellet towards the
island.
Rod Metcalf fished a few
short sessions taking Carp to the 6lbs mark and up to 15 per visit.
Roach went on and off
the feed although the Bream continued to feed throughout the changing
conditions!
Meanwhile the Specimen
Lake saw anglers enjoying sport from most pegs.
Regular Town Parks rod Gordon Batt banked this beautiful condition Leather Carp from peg 2. The fish fell to a Cell boilie presented over a bed of maggot. |
Steve Delaney fished peg
13 placing his CC Moore baits in various locations around the swim. Delaney
banked several Carp in their teen’s before hooking into something much bigger! After
a prolonged fight and with a large crowd gathered the fight ended with a superb
Common on the mat. The fish tipped the scales at 28lbs 2oz a personal best for
Delaney!
Newton Abbot rod Matt Feakes banked this Platinum Ghost
Carp, his personal best from peg 2 at Town Parks Fishery.

Fishing partner Mark
Warren moved pegs after a slow session in peg 1 and had three fish on the bank
within 30 minutes of moving to peg 5! Cell boilies once again successful!
Darren Stride banked a
good Common of 22lbs 1oz from peg 10 whilst Jeff Weller fished popped up Cell
boilies overnight from peg 5 and was rewarded with a fine Common of 22lbs 0oz.

Visitor Geoff Dodge
fished various pegs during his 10 day holiday and never went away without
banking fish! Dodge took fish to 21lbs 3oz with all his fish being very high
teens or low twentys!
Matt Feakes visited peg
2 and netted several Carp the best 19lbs 7oz!

With colder, more
unsettled weather now upon us the Catfish should start to feed up ready for
their winter hibernation – some big fish are expected to come to the bank over
the next few weeks!
