Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 7/10

Fish continued to come to the bank at Town Parks Fishery despite the very changeable weather conditions.

The upper Match Lake fished well from most pegs although the fish were much deeper in the water than of late probably due to the colder rainwater entering the lake.

Regulars Jim and Brenda Morrissey took 10 Carp to the 6lbs mark from peg 3 casting pellet towards the island.

Rod Metcalf fished a few short sessions taking Carp to the 6lbs mark and up to 15 per visit.

Roach went on and off the feed although the Bream continued to feed throughout the changing conditions!

Meanwhile the Specimen Lake saw anglers enjoying sport from most pegs.

Regular Town Parks rod Gordon Batt banked this beautiful condition Leather Carp from peg 2. The fish fell to a Cell boilie presented over a bed of maggot.

Steve Delaney fished peg 13 placing his CC Moore baits in various locations around the swim. Delaney banked several Carp in their teen’s before hooking into something much bigger! After a prolonged fight and with a large crowd gathered the fight ended with a superb Common on the mat. The fish tipped the scales at 28lbs 2oz a personal best for Delaney!

Newton Abbot rod Matt Feakes banked this Platinum Ghost Carp, his personal best from peg 2 at Town Parks Fishery.

Fishing partner Mark Warren moved pegs after a slow session in peg 1 and had three fish on the bank within 30 minutes of moving to peg 5! Cell boilies once again successful!

Darren Stride banked a good Common of 22lbs 1oz from peg 10 whilst Jeff Weller fished popped up Cell boilies overnight from peg 5 and was rewarded with a fine Common of 22lbs 0oz.

Jeff Weller visited peg 5 at Town Parks Fishery and netted this fine Common Carp which tipped the scales at 22lbs 0oz!

Visitor Geoff Dodge fished various pegs during his 10 day holiday and never went away without banking fish! Dodge took fish to 21lbs 3oz with all his fish being very high teens or low twentys!

Matt Feakes visited peg 2 and netted several Carp the best 19lbs 7oz!

Matt Feakes visited peg 2 at Town Parks Fishery and was rewarded with this fine Platinum Ghost Carp, his personal best of 24lbs 2oz! The fish fell to a Cell boilie.

With colder, more unsettled weather now upon us the Catfish should start to feed up ready for their winter hibernation – some big fish are expected to come to the bank over the next few weeks!
