With
much more settled weather the fish continued to feed at Town Parks Fishery this
week.
The
top Match Lake saw anglers banking fish in numbers.
Carp
showed from the usual pegs still taking pellet baits and, during the sunnier
days bread floated on the surface!
Regular
Rod Metcalf made several short visits to various pegs and took up to 15 Carp
per session.
With
warm sunny weather over the weekend the Fishery saw many children fishing with
family members and taking plenty of Roach, Rudd and Perch mainly on maggot.
Bream
are still showing in deeper water falling to corn or pellet.
The
lower Specimen Lake was a little more sporadic with many pegs filled throughout
the week and plenty of bait going in!
Once
again deeper water pegs provided good sport although Dale Churchill did bank 2
good Carp from the margins of peg 6.
Trevor
Trebell fished peg 11 placing his halibut pellets tight to the margins by the
overhanging tree. Trebell was rewarded with two good Commons.
Peg
1 saw most anglers who fished it bank a Carp or two!
A common carp weighing in at 9lb 2oz which fell to a strawberry pop up along with a strawberry groundbait |
Karl
Chappell banked a beautiful Koi Ghostie of 19lbs 1oz which fell for his
fruitella boilie which was fished towards the central bar!
Catfish
have been elusive although several anglers have reported being snapped off whilst
fishing some heavy Cat rigs!
Between October 27th and
November 3rd The Fishery is offering a twenty pound voucher for the
angler who catches and verifies the heaviest GHOST CARP During Halloween week!
