Another week of
excellent catches at Town Parks Fishery.
The Specimen Lake
continued to produce quality fish, many in the twenty pound class!
Good fish were reported
from most pegs around the lake although the deeper water pegs were favoured.
Local rod Mark Warren
banked a single Carp of 15lbs from peg 6 so he decided to move to peg 10. During
the next 24hrs Warren banked another 9 fish which were all high teens or
twentys! Best fish, taken on halibut pellet a good Common of 21lbs 8oz.
Regular Mark Warren fished peg 10 at Town Parks Fishery and banked this excellent condition Ghost Carp. The fish fell to a halibut pellet offered in the margins. |

Steve Delaney stuck with peg 13 and was rewarded with a fine Ghostie of 23lbs
1oz which fell to a Spirollo boilie!

Nick Soloman fished peg
2 and banked his first Town Parks twenty with a nice Common
20lbs 2oz!

Andy Handshaw took a
couple of excellent condition Carp from peg 9, best a Common of 20lbs dead.
Trevor Camp enjoyed a
quick session, again from peg 5, taking a fine Common which looked much bigger
than it’s weight of 20lbs 1oz!
A couple of good Catfish
came to the bank, best reported 27lbs 7oz from peg 12.
The fish fell to a chunk
of luncheon meat.
On the upper Match Lake
Carp were taken in numbers falling to coarse pellet offered mid water.
Paul Winstanley visited
peg 14 and took a good bag of 19 fish to 8lbs.
Jim Morrison fished peg
3 and in between reading the daily papers he took 16 Carp from the tip of the
island.
Some excellent Crucians
have been reported from deeper water pegs. Silvers fed sporadically taking
maggot and castor at various depths.
