Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 9/10

Good catches of Carp were reported from the Match Lake at Town Parks Fishery this week.

Once again Lee Hunt fished peg 17 on the dam wall with the pellet waggler and banked 31 Carp for a 210lb bag!! Hunt cast to rising bubbles which were thought to be Bream feeding!

Robbie Metcalf made several visits to different pegs and banked good bags although the fish were very hesitant to feed on some days. Metcalf resorted to popped up bread!

Bream continue to come to the bank in numbers, peg 3 providing the best sport.
Silvers are still up in the water and some fine specimens have been taken.

On the lower Specimen Lake sport was a little slower although some anglers saw great sport.

Making a return visit to the Fishery after many years local rod Jason Craven fished an overnighter from peg 11. Having stalked around peg 6 during the late afternoon and taking two Carp, Craven settled down for the night. He got little sleep as he banked eight more Carp to 21lbs 8oz, two Catfish to 18lbs 7oz and also lost another three fish!!  Luncheon meat and fishmeal boilies proved effective.

Regular Andy Webster fished peg 12 and took two Catfish the best 24lbs 5oz which also fell to luncheon meat offered in the margin.

Local rod Andy Webster banked this fine Catfish of 24lbs 5oz form peg 12 at Town Parks Fishery. The monster fell to luncheon meat offered tight in the margin.

Matt Feakes took three Carp from peg 11, the best 19lbs 1oz. Again luncheon meat did the trick.
