Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 20/07

Once again the Catfish were feeding heavily in the Specimen Lake at Town Parks Fishery this week. Both regulars and first timers were entertained with the action from most pegs around the lake.

First time visitor Exeter rod Paul Hayes fished peg 15 and as not disappointed when his alarms screamed off and he eventually netted a fine Cat of 24lbs 14oz which had taken his coconut boilie!

Town Parks Fishery regular Lee Otridge had a great session from peg 11 taking four fish including this fine personal best Catfish of 26lbs 3oz!

Exeter rod Martin Vicary fished from 11 and was rewarded with his personal best Catfish of 32lbs 6oz topped off with a Common Carp of 18lbs 3oz. Blood worm boilies fished in the margins tempted the fish.

Town Parks regular Billy Jenkins was over the moon after fishing peg 6 and banking three Cat’s of 34lbs 4oz, 25lbs 2oz and 19lbs dead! Some apple flavoured, homemade boilies offered near the blue rope tempted all the fish!

After banking his personal best Catfish form peg 11 Lee Otridge was over the moon to net his best Leather Carp to date at 16lbs 4oz!

Peter Aylward travelled from Norfolk for one of is regular trips to peg 1. In between a regular line of visitors Aylward managed to bank a brace of Carp to 19lbs 4oz and a couple of Cats to the same weight.

On the top Match Lake the Carp continued to feed on the cooler days although they tended to sunbathe on the hotter ones! Catches of up to 27 fish were reported from various pegs.

Pellet, corn and luncheon meat accounted fo most of the catches.

Regular Perry Northeast had a 100lbs plus bag from the dam wall!

Silvers are still freely taking maggot and castor from most pegs, once again 100lbs plus bags can be expected!
