The Match Lake at Town
Parks Fishery continued to produce good sport despite the colder weather. Carp
fed freely taking pellet or luncheon meat offered at various depths.
Regular Rod Metcalf
fished from peg 17 on the dam wall and banked 15 Carp of good size during a
short morning session.
Once again Jim Morrissey
took good quality Carp from the tip of the island immediately in front of peg
3. Coarse pellet on the hair with a light scattering around the bait proved effective!
Bream were still feeding
with some good fish taken around the islands. Silvers fell to maggot and castor
offered around the four foot mark!
On the lower Specimen
Lake fishing was a little harder than of late but some good fish still came to
the bank.
Regular Matt Feakes set
up on peg 10 and took a good 19lbs 8oz Common almost immediately! Within twenty
minutes Feakes had lost another good fish at the net.
Both fish fell to Tutti
Frutti boilies offered close to the island.
Andrew Smart fished an overnighter
from peg 6. After a screaming run Smart hooked into a very large fish, believed
to be a big Catfish but, after a short battle the fish was lost!
On checking his rig it
was discovered that the quick link had been pulled straight!
Chris Hulatt fished
tutti frutti boilies from peg 16 and banked two Carp, the best around the 16lbs
mark! Hulatt also lost two Carp at the net!
An eel of 4lbs was
reported to have fallen to worm offered tight in the margin from peg 12.
Winner of the Halloween
Ghost Carp competition was Brenda Morrissey with a good Ghostie of 9lbs 8oz
taken on the Match Lake with pellet!
