Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 9/9

Another week of excellent sport saw many anglers returning daily while the Indian summer remains and the fish continue to feed at Town Parks Fishery.

Alan Darby from Liverpool fished the top Match Lake on 4 consecutive days and banked over 20 Carp during each session. Coarse pellet offered towards the main island from peg 10 did the trick!

Fishing from peg 6 at Town Parks Fishery Gordon Batt banked this 24lbs 4oz Catfish which fell for a Cell boilie intended for Carp. The fish was one of ten taken during Batt’s session!

Four anglers reported Silver bags in excess of 160lbs with fish taking maggot, castor and tares freely.

Visiting rod Steve Lomas fished peg 10, 14 and 18 during his holiday and took plenty of good Carp, the best 11lbs 4oz, Bream to 5lbs 5oz and a fine Crucian of 4lbs 2oz.
Sweetcorn proved successful.

Local rod Gordon Batt banked this fine condition Common Carp from peg 6 at Town Parks Fishery. The fish fell to maggot offered mid water and tipped the scales at 20lbs 1oz.

Regular Rod Metcalf proved once again hard work pays off with over 15 Carp banked per session from various pegs. Pellet fished around the 4 foot mark hit the target.

On the lower Specimen Lake Catfish fed continuously throughout daylight and night time hours.

Darren Stride banked his first four Cats, the best 19lbs 8oz, from peg 10. All the fish fell to tutti frutti boilies offered mid water.

Some very large Cats, possibly in the 50lbs + class were hooked but broke free before they ran around the islands and broke free! Many fell to worm or luncheon meat.

Regular Gordon Batt banked this hard fighting Mirror Carp at Town Parks Fishery. The fish, which was in immaculate condition and fell to a Cell boilie tipped the scales at 22lbs 8oz.

Carp fell to sweet boilies offered around most pegs although dog biscuit floated into the shade saw Matt Feakes bank a fine Mirror of 22lbs 3oz.

During a hectic four days over 20 Carp above 20lbs were reported from various pegs.
