Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 20/5

Anglers continued to enjoy excellent sport at Town Parks Fishery this week.
Both Lakes produced fish which fed freely.

On the Specimen Lake Catfish were on the prowl. Tristan Smith stalked around pegs 7 and 8 around 4 am casting worm into the margin. Within minutes he hooked into a very large Cat which ran out into mid water. After a long battle Smith got the fish into the net only for the line to snap and the fish slid out! Having recently banked a 38lbs Cat Smith estimated this fish was in the low to mid 40’s!

Neal Haslam banked his personal best Carp from peg 11 weighing 23lbs 2oz.
Haslam was fishing a 30mm XXL boilie which was intended for Catfish!

Local rod Neil Haslam visited peg 11 at Town Parks Fishery and was rewarded with this fine, personal best Carp. The fish tipped the scales at 23lbs 3oz and fell for a 30mm XXL boilie.

Kevin Locke visited peg 10 for an overnighter and was rewarded with 8 Carp and a Catfish which all fell to sweetcorn.

Dave Grylls banked a beautiful Ghostie from peg 14 which tipped the scales at 19lbs 3oz.

Dave Grylls banked this beautiful Ghost Carp from peg 14 at Town Parks Fishery. The fish weighed 19lbs 2oz and fell for corn offered in the margin.

Scott Farrar also took a good Ghostie, this time from peg 1.

Mark Hughes took this excellent condition Common Carp from peg one 1 at Town Parks Fishery. The fish weighed in at 22lbs 1oz and fell to a Cell boilie offered tight to the main island.

Dave Osmond continued to bank fish from peg 6.    Six 20lbs + fish came to the bank during various short sessions.

Town Parks Fishery regular Dave Osmond visited peg 6 and took a number of 20lbs+ carp. This fish fell to maggot offered under the willow tree and weighed 22lbs 4oz.

The top Match Lake saw Carp coming to the bank in numbers.

Once again Rod Metcalf lead the way taking 21 Carp on the pellet waggler during a 4 hour morning session. Metcalf improved on this taking 30 Carp to 9lbs the following morning! All the fish fell for coarse pellet offered around the 4 foot mark.

Bream came to sweetcorn with some good sized fish reported.

Silvers took maggot and were well up in the water on the sunnier days.
