Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 13/5

Anglers continued to enjoy great sport at Town Parks Fishery this week. During the fine weather both lakes were very busy but even with the pressure of many lines plenty of fish came to the bank.

The Specimen Lake saw most pegs producing fish for anglers doing their watercraft.
Mark Sturdy continued to bank fish after his return to the sport completing the week with a fine personal best Common Carp of 24lbs 5oz. The fish was one of several fish taken from peg 5.

Dave Tozer fished a twilight session from peg 14 taking six fish in quick succession.
Placing baits close to the margins proved successful with Tozer’s fish, all Commons, falling for small baits tipped with sweetcorn.

North Devon rod Jason Hammond fished peg 5 at Town Parks Fishery testing out new baits. During his overnight session Hammond banked six fish, all Commons, the best this fine 26lbs 1oz specimen!

Local rod Elliot Reid picked peg 12 for an afternoon session and was rewarded with two Carp, the best a good Common of 22lbs 6oz. Reid offered floating bread.

Matt Feakes fished pineapple boilies tight to the island in front of peg 2.
During his session Feakes banked Carp, Catfish and Tench eventually taking 14 fish including a Common Carp of 22lbs 8oz!

Robbie Price took a nice Mirror of 19lbs 8oz on maggot from peg 1 while Dave Grylls fished peg 14 and took four Carp, the best 18lbs 1oz.

Meanwhile, on the top Match Lake Carp and Silvers fed freely.

London rod Neil Price visited the Fishery for the first time and chose peg 10 on a dry sunny day. Price fished small halibut boilies which were cast tight the main island.
After a six hours 38 Carp to 11lbs had come to the bank!

Rod Metcalf visited several pegs during the week taking Carp in numbers.
During a short morning session Metcalf fished the waggler with pellet at around the four foot mark. 21 Carp came to the net the best around the 8lbs mark!

Bream showed in numbers with some very good sized fish coming to the net.
Roach and Rudd fell for maggot and castor offered around the 3 foot mark!
