The recent rain has seen both lakes at Town Parks fill to capacity bringing the fish on the feed!
The water temperature this year is around the 12 degree mark, so different from last year when both lakes were frozen solid with no fishing available for the whole of December!

Anglers chasing the silver fish have enjoyed great sport on both the Match and Specimen Lakes.
The top lake was on good form although the Carp were a little elusive at times.
Anglers fishing the more sheltered pegs took Silver bags to the 30lbs mark with Roach and Rudd falling to maggot or castor fished fairly deep around the 4 foot mark.
Some Carp were taken from the dam wall pegs but with strong westerly winds only the bravest anglers fished there!
The lower Specimen Lake saw anglers visiting pegs who normally fish the Match Lake but, due to the strong winds they tried to find a little shelter.
Pegs around the waterfall saw fish moving freely as recent rain pushed plenty of water through the lake!
Silvers came to the bank with Roach to the 2lbs 4oz a regular sight.
Two Carp, the best 19lbs 8oz fell for Garlic pop up’s offered mid water by Bristol rod Steve Phillips. Phillips reported being snapped off twice by large fish believed to be Catfish!
The Fishery and shop are open every day over the festive period with fresh bait and all the regular services available!
