Changeable weather provided testing fishing conditions at Town Parks Fishery this week.
Fishing proved patchy although some anglers did bank some good bags.
On the top Match Lake Shane Walker fished corn to the margins of peg 1. During his morning session six Carp came to the bank along with some nice Roach.
Bob Hewitt did a couple of short visits to the dam wall taking Carp on both visits. Fishing out in deeper water Hewitt’s best Carp tipped the scales at 11lbs 2oz!
Silvers continue to show but have moved deeper after the recent frosts. Maggot fished around the 5 foot mark should bring them on the feed.
Fishing on the lower Specimen Lake proved more difficult with many fish mouthing the bait only to let go the minute they felt any resistance!
Numerous anglers reported plenty of fish moving around especially over night with liners and runs commonplace.
Fishy and spicy baits seem to attract the most interest.
Catfish are still moving around due to the unusually high water temperature this year!
The on site shop is open everyday and is fully stocked with bait, roads, reels, tackle etc so pop in to pick up that special Christmas present!
Jerry is back at work after his recent operation and will be happy to help with any special requirements!
