Town Parks Fishery Catch Report w/e 12/6

Plenty of Carp came to the bank on the Match Lake at Town Parks Fishery this week.

Rob Metcalf made several short visits to dam wall pegs and offered coarse pellet up in the water.
He was rewarded with good Carp bags of up to twelve fish!!

Richard James fished pellet from peg 16 and took 15 Carp, some nice doubles, which fell to halibut offered close to the margins.

Students from South Devon College fished a tutored session on the sheltered southern pegs with all the students banking numerous Roach and Rudd to the 2lb mark. The winning team of three all received prizes from the college!!

On the lower Specimen Lake Catfish again showed in numbers and some nice specimens to the mid twenty’s were banked. Many anglers also experienced some hard runs which resulted with the fish breaking free after snagging the lines!
Carp came to the bank, many tempted with Cell boilies, Chris Owen taking three, the best 22lbs 4oz from peg 5.

Some large Tench have been taken from various pegs around the lake – Steve Clements banking three to 8lbs 3oz from 12.

One fish of note was a fine 5lbs 5oz eel which fell to worm offered for Catfish from peg 8 by Colin Jones, a visitor from Wales.
