Both Lakes at Town Parks Fishery produced some great sport
for anglers enjoying the better weather days!
The Specimen Lake saw Catfish and Carp taking baits from
both deep and shallow water pegs.
Catfish of 25lbs 4oz and 21lbs 9oz fell to luncheon meat
baits offered from peg 15 by visitor Brain Griffiths. Grittiths had not hooked
a Catfish before so he was overjoyed!
Matt Feakes enjoyed hectic sport from peg 1 banking 7 fish,
6 Carp and a single Cat.
All the fish were high teens or early twentys and fell to
Cell boilies.
Gordon Batt took 6 fish, all Carp, from peg 6 with baits
offered under the overhanging trees.
Paul Baker fished peg 12 and netted a mirror of 17lbs 8oz on
his first visit.
Jay Harper took a brace of Carp to 17lbs 4oz form peg 10
whilst Peter Hoare took a couple of Carp to 17lbs from peg 9.
At the time of writing the Carp have not yet spawned on this
lake so we are expecting some BIG fish to come to the net over the next few
days!
The Match Lake also fished well with Carp and Silvers
responding to baits offered at various depths.
Rod Metcalfe connected with plenty of fish from the dam wall
pegs during several short visits.
Silvers fell to maggot and castor offered shallow with bags
to the 60lbs mark reported!
